Golshifteh Farahani (گلشیفته فراهانی) was born on 10th July 1983 and is an international Iranian actress. She has dual Iranian and French nationality. Golshifteh Farahani started her acting career in theatre at the age of 6. Since then she has played in more than 40 films, many of which have been screened or awarded at international festivals. Amongst her famous Iranian films are Bahman Ghobadi's Half Moon, Dariush Mehrjui's Santoori , Rasool Mollagholipour's M for Mother and Asghar Farhadi's About Elly. Starring in Ridley Scotts Body of Lies (2008), alongside Leonardo Di Caprio and Russel Crowe, Golshifteh Farahani became the first Iranian to act in a major Hollywood production. She has also played in Paterson (2016) with Adam Driver, in the last Pirates of the Caribbean (2017) and in the French movie Santa & Cie (2017).
Asia Argento (born Aria Maria Vittoria Rossa Argento; 20 September 1975) is an Italian actress, singer, model, and director.
Her mother is actress Daria di Nicolodi and her father is Dario de Argento, an Italian film director, producer and screenwriter, well known for his work in the Italian giallo genre and for his influence on modern horror and slasher movies. Her maternal great-grandfather was composer Alfredo Casella.
Asia Argento started acting at the age of nine, playing a small role in a film by Sergio Citti. She also had a small part in Demons 2, a 1986 film written and produced by her father, at the age of 10, as well as its unofficial sequel, La Chiesa (The Church), when she was 14, and Trauma (1993), when she was 18. She received the David di Donatello (Italy's version of the Academy Award) for Best Actress in 1994 for her performance in Perdiamoci di vista, and again in 1996 for Compagna di viaggio, which also earned her a Grolla d'oro award. In 1998, Argento began appearing in English-language movies, such as B. Monkey and New Rose Hotel.
Argento has proven her ability to work in multiple languages, adding French, with a role as Charlotte de Sauve in 1994's La Reine Margot. That same year, she made her first foray into directing, calling the shots behind the short films Prospettive and A ritroso. In 1996, she directed a documentary on her father, and in 1998 a second one on Abel Ferrara, which won her the Rome Film Festival Award.
Argento directed and wrote her first movie, Scarlet Diva (2000), which her father co-produced. In 2002, she portrayed Russian undercover spy Yelena in the action film XXX alongside Vin Diesel. In 2004 she directed her second film The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things, based on a book by JT LeRoy, the pen name of Laura Albert, this time in the United States.

He is known as one of the key members of the slow cinema movement, having made several of the longest narrative films on record. Although he had been making films since the late 90s Diaz didn't attract much public attention outside of the Philippines and the festival circuit until the release of his 2013 film Norte, the End of History, which was entered into Un Certain Regard section of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. His three subsequent films have received much critical attention and many awards with 2014's From What Is Before earning him the Golden Leopard at the 2014 Locarno International Film Festival as well as a nomination for the Asian Film Award for Best Director, 2016's A Lullaby to the Sorrowful Mystery competing for the Golden Bear at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival and winning the Alfred Bauer Prize, and 2016's The Woman Who Left competing at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival and winning the Golden Lion.
Karan Johar often informally referred to as KJo, is an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, costume designer, actor and television personality who is primarily known for his work in Hindi films. He is the son of Hiroo Johar and the acclaimed producer Yash Johar.

Shekhar Kapur (born 6 December 1945) is an Indian film director and producer. He is a critically acclaimed director, rose to popularity with the movie, Bandit Queen. His historical biopics of Queen Elizabeth I (Elizabeth and its sequel Elizabeth: The Golden Age) garnered several Academy Award nominations, including two Best Actress nods for Cate Blanchett.

Anurag Kashyap is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. He is often regarded as the face of an emerging new wave cinema for producing numerous independent films with newcomers. For his contributions to film, the Government of France awarded him the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) in 2013. After writing a television serial, Kashyap got his major break as a co-writer in Ram Gopal Varma's crime drama Satya (1998), and made his directorial debut with Paanch, which never had a theatrical release due to censorship issues.
Apart from filmmaking, Kashyap serves as the Member of board of the Mumbai-based NGO, Aangan, which helps protect vulnerable children around India. He is the founder of two film production companies: Anurag Kashyap Films, which is run by Guneet Monga, Phantom Films with partnership from directors Vikramaditya Motwane and Vikas Bahl and producer Madhu Mantena.
Piyush Mishra is an Indian film and theatre actor, music director, lyricist, singer, and scriptwriter. Mishra grew up in Gwalior and graduated from the National School of Drama, Delhi in 1986. Thereafter, he started his career in Hindi theatre in Delhi. Over the next decade, he established himself as a theatre director, actor, lyricist, and singer. He moved to Mumbai in 2002, receiving acclaim for his acting in Maqbool (2003) and Gangs of Wasseypur (2012).
Gaspar Noé (born December 27, 1963) is an Argentine-Italian filmmaker who lives and works in France, where he has spent most of his life. The son of Argentine painter and intellectual Luis Felipe Noé, he graduated from Louis Lumière National College and is the visiting professor of film at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. Three of his films feature the character of a nameless butcher played by Philippe Nahon: Carne, I Stand Alone and (in a cameo) Irréversible. Carne was the recipient of the Critic's Award at the 5th Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival in February 1994.

Noé also cites the 1983 Austrian serial killer film Angst, by Gerald Kargl, as a major influence. He is married to filmmaker Lucile Hadžihalilović.
