A Shakespeare interpreter, he first achieved success onstage at the Royal National Theatre. He made his film debut playing Heathcliff in Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights.

Asa Jennings is an actor who is the son of Garth Jennings, the director (and voice of Miss Crawly) of Sing. He voiced one of Rosita and Norman's piglets in the North American release of Sing. Jenings, who starred in the episode The Swan (2023) of Wes Anderson's short film anthology of Roald Dahl adaptations, is receiving training in acting.
