Catherine Tate's iconic character Nan hits the big screen as she goes on a wild road trip from London to Ireland with her grandson Jamie to make amends with her estranged sister Nell. Militant vegan arsonists, raucous rugby teams, all night raves and crazed cops on motorbikes all make for a proper day out. An origin story that mixes Nan's present with her past where we finally find out what's made her the cantankerous old bastard she is today.

Catherine Jane Ford (born 5 December 1969), known professionally as Catherine Tate, is an English actress, comedian and writer. She has won numerous awards for her work on the BBC sketch comedy series The Catherine Tate Show (2004–2007), as well as being nominated for an International Emmy Award and seven BAFTAs. Tate played Donna Noble in the 2006 Christmas special of Doctor Who, and later reprised her role for the fourth series in 2008, and 60th anniversary episodes in 2023.

Richard Sandling is a British comedian, film reviewer, presenter, writer, director, actor and musician from South Benfleet. He won So You Think You're Funny in 2007. Sandling has said that he sought a career in comedy, and has performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe a number of times, both as a solo act and as part of duo with Stuart Goldsmith. He is also the alter ego of Spak Whitman and has performed comedy all over the UK as well as America and Canada
Sandling runs Perfect Movie in London, a stand up and sketch comedy night all about films featuring recreations of top comedians. He also occasionally runs the Squat Betty comedy night in Southend.
