The 2022 NXT: The Great American Bash was the tenth Great American Bash professional wrestling event produced by WWE, and 24th Great American Bash event overall. It was held exclusively for wrestlers from the promotion's NXT brand division. The event aired as a special episode of WWE's weekly television series NXT, broadcast on the USA Network. It took place on July 5, 2022, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Bronson Rechsteiner
Bronson Rechsteiner (born October 24, 1997) is an American professional wrestler and former American football player. He is signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand under the ring name Bron Breakker. He is a former one-time Intercontinental Champion, a two-time NXT Champion, and a one-time NXT Tag Team Champion.
A second-generation professional wrestler, Rechsteiner is the son of Rick Steiner and the nephew of Scott Steiner (who performed together as the Steiner Brothers). Rechsteiner was voted "Rookie of the Year" for 2022 by readers of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Trevor Lee Caddell is an American professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Trevor Lee. He is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where he performs on the NXT brand performing under the ring name Cameron Grimes.
He is best known for his time in Impact Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Guerilla (PWG), where he wrestled under his given names as Trevor Lee. He is a former three-time Impact X Division Champion, one-time TNA World Tag Team Champion with Brian Myers, and a one-time PWG Tag Team Champion with Andrew Everett. After being trained by Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy, Lee wrestled for various independent promotions, including Global Force Wrestling, OMEGA Championship Wrestling, and PWG before making his national debut for Impact Wrestling in 2015.
Christopher Lindsey is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, Roderick Strong, currently signed to AEW. Strong is best known for his 13-year tenure with Ring of Honor where he was a one-time World Champion, two-time World Television Champion, and a one-time World Tag Team Champion with Austin Aries. He is also the second ROH Triple Crown Champion. Strong is also known for his time spent in WWE's NXT where he is a former North American Champion and a former Cruiserweight Champion.
He initially debuted as The Jester on the Floridian independent circuit, before quickly changing his name to Roderick Strong. He worked for IPW Hardcore and NWA Florida, before debuting for ROH in September 2003. In mid-2004, Strong joined forces with Alex Shelley, Austin Aries, and Jack Evans, collectively known as Generation Next. As part of Generation Next, Strong won the ROH World Tag Team Championship with Aries. Strong later turned on Aries, forming a new faction, the No Remorse Corps with Davey Richards and Rocky Romero. During this time, he was also competing for ROH's sister promotion, FIP, and debuted for PWG. Strong has also toured Japan with Dragon Gate and Pro Wrestling Noah and had a brief stint in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2005.
In FIP, he has won the World Heavyweight Championship three times, and the Tag Team Championship once with Erick Stevens and once with Rich Swann. In PWG, he is a former one-time World Champion and a three-time World Tag Team Champion, having held the title with Davey Richards, Pac, and Jack Evans with each reign respectively. In addition, he is the only wrestler to win PWG's annual Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament with two different partners (PAC in 2007 and Evans in 2008).
Matthew Farrelly is an Australian professional wrestler. He is signed to WWE, where he performs on the SmackDown brand under the ring name Grayson Waller. He is currently in a tag team with Austin Theory as A-Town Down Under where he is a former one-time WWE Tag Team Champion. Before signing with WWE, he previously performed on the independent circuit under the ring name Matty Wahlberg.

Carmelo Hayes, whose real name is Christian Brigham, is a professional wrestler currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He was born on August 1, 1994, in Worcester, Massachusetts. Before signing with WWE, he gained recognition on the independent wrestling circuit under the name Christian Casanova.
Hayes made his WWE debut in 2021 on the NXT brand. He is a former two-time NXT North American Champion, which he also has the longest combined reign for. He is also the first Superstar in history to win the Cruiserweight Championship, North American Championship, and NXT Championship in their career.
Hayes is known for his charisma, mic skills, and in-ring talent. He is also described as a born champion. In addition, he has declared himself as the true face of NXT. On April 1, 2023, he became the current NXT Champion in his first reign, defeating Bron Breakker.
Chinese-American professional wrestler currently signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), appearing on the NXT brand. Prior to signing with WWE, Karen Q worked in Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling. Prior to her official signing with WWE, she made her debut as early as August 2018, competing in the second annual Mae Young Classic.

Karen describes her inspirations growing up including watching matches and events featuring WWE's The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. She also cited Chyna, Trish Stratus, and Lita as inspirational figures and influential leaders for the future women wrestlers.
Victory Pro Wrestling (2014-2018)
Karen made her professional in-ring debut in 2014 on September 6 at VPW September Salvation where she wrestled a Triple Threat match won by Nikki Addams against Q and Monique. She returned on December 6 at VPW December Devastation losing to Nikki Addams in a rematch.
She returned the following year on April 11, 2015 at VPW 100 in a Triple Threat match won by Brittney Savage against Q and Nikki Addams. On June 6 at VPW Upper Limits 2015, Karen Q joined a Four Way Elimination Match for the vacant VPW Women's Championship won by Nikki Addams against Karen, Ashley America and Deonna Purrazzo. Karen's in-ring feud with Addams continued, enhanced with championship gold on the line in their following matches including Women's Championship match at VPW Carnage In Centereach X on July 25, in which Addams successfully defended the title against Karen. A championship rematch was held on September 12 at VPW Gold Rush Rumble 2015, during which Karen scored a victory by count-out, but did not win the Women's title. On October 24 at VPW Autumn Uproar, Karen teamed with Xander Page to win a tag match against Nikki Addams & Razzle Dazzle.
Jessica Woynilko (May 1, 1999) is an American professional wrestler, mixed martial artist, bodybuilder, and gymnast currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) under the ring name Tiffany Stratton where she performs on the NXT brand.
Tiffany has participated in several gymnast competitions, such as Winter Classic, Colorado Springs, Elite Challenge, and Battle Creek. She got selected in WWE NXT in 2021, along with six other wrestlers.

Kelly made her debut on March 13, 2015 at AWE/WPW/MCW Culture Shock teaming up with Devyn Nicole in a tag match won by the team of Amanda Rodriguez & Amber O'Neal. Three months later on June 18 at AWE To Be The Man! Kelly wrestled her first singles match won by Kiera Hogan.
She returned the following year on May 14, 2016 at AWE Freaknik Live!, where Kelly defeated Gabby Gilbert. On June 5 at AWE Follow The White Rabbit 3: What Is Real? Kelly was defeated by Mickie Knuckles. On June 17 at AWE Season 2 Finale: Keeping It Real, Kelly wrestled in a six-person battle royal won by Ashton Starr. On August 13 at AWE Double Dip The Chip, Kelly was defeated by Kimber Lee in singles action. On October 23 at AWE The First Battle Of New Atlanta, Kelly won a four-way match against Angel Blackwell and Ashton Starr and Kiera Hogan. On December 11 at AWE ROAR, Kelly defeated the Atlantic territory favorite Tessa Blanchard. Kelly ended her second year in AWE on December 27 at AWE Show Of The Year 3 winning a dark match against diva Heidi Lovelace.

SHINE Wrestling (2016-present)
Kelly made her WWN debut in conjunction with her debut for SHINE Wrestling at SHINE 37 on September 2, 2016. She teamed with Dominique Fabiano in an unsuccessful title match challenge for the SHINE Tag Team Championship held by BTY (Jayme Jameson & Marti Belle). At this same event, she later faced and defeated her tag partner Dominique Fabiano in a singles match. Kelly returned on November 4 at SHINE 38 where she was defeated by Chelsea Diamond. At SHINE 39 Kelly was defeated by Malia Hosaka.

Amanda Rose Saccomano is an American professional wrestler, television personality, and former fitness and figure competitor. She is signed to WWE, where she performs under the ring name Mandy Rose on the SmackDown brand. In 2015, she placed second on the WWE competition WWE Tough Enough. That same year, she signed a contract with WWE and joined the reality television show Total Divas. Saccomanno was born in the New York City suburb of Westchester County, New York, the youngest of four children. She has Irish and Italian ancestry. Her childhood nickname was "Hamburgers". She attended Yorktown High School, where she participated in the dance. She later earned her bachelor's degree at Iona College, majoring in speech pathology. She entered her first fitness competition in 2013 and took first place in the World Bodybuilding Fitness & Fashion Boston Show. She was also crowned the 2014 World Beauty Fitness & Fashion Bikini Champion.
Carla Gonzalez is an American professional wrestler. As of March 2022, she is signed to WWE where she performs on the NXT brand under the ring name Roxanne Perez. She is the current NXT Women's Champion in her record-tying second reign and a former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion with Cora Jade. Before signing with WWE, Gonzalez wrestled under the ring name Rok-C in Ring of Honor (ROH), where she was the inaugural ROH Women's World Champion. She also worked for several independent promotions such as Reality of Wrestling.
Stuart Alexander Bennett is an English professional wrestling commentator, actor, and former professional wrestler and former bare-knuckle boxer who holds both British and American citizenship. He is currently signed to WWE, where he is a color commentator on the NXT brand under the ring name Wade Barrett.
Under the Wade Barrett name, Bennett won the first season of NXT in 2010 and made his main roster debut on Raw later that year. He rose to prominence as the leader of The Nexus, a villainous faction composed of the remaining NXT first-season rookies. He headlined five PPV events for WWE in 2010—SummerSlam, Night of Champions, Bragging Rights, Survivor Series, and TLC—three of which saw him unsuccessfully challenge for the WWE Championship. He later formed The Corre, a short-lived group with former Nexus members Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel, along with Ezekiel Jackson in 2011. After they disbanded, he would go on to become a five-time Intercontinental Champion.
In 2013, Barrett's ring name was changed to Bad News Barrett and he adopted the character of a man who took pleasure in breaking bad news to other people. In 2015, he won the 20th King of the Ring tournament, at which point his ring name was changed to King Barrett. He notably portrayed a villain for his entire WWE career, regardless of the other changes to his character. He has not wrestled since leaving WWE in May 2016, though he has appeared in non-wrestling roles on the international independent circuit, such as a commentator for World of Sport Wrestling and a general manager for Defiant Wrestling under his real name. He made his acting debut in the thriller film Dead Man Down (2013) and has since starred in films such as Eliminators (2016), I Am Vengeance (2018), and I Am Vengeance: Retaliation (2020). He returned to WWE as a commentator in August 2020.
