Dev Patel (born 23 April 1990) is a British actor. He began his career playing Anwar Kharral in the E4 teen drama Skins (2007). His breakthrough came with the leading role of teenager Jamal Malik in Danny Boyle's drama Slumdog Millionaire (2008), for which Patel was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
Patel's career expanded with leading roles in the comedy-dramas The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011) and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2015), the science fiction thriller Chappie (2015), and a supporting role in the HBO series The Newsroom (2012–2014). For his performance as Saroo Brierley in the drama Lion (2016), Patel won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Alicia Amanda Vikander (born 3 October 1988) is a Swedish actress. She is the recipient of various accolades, including an Academy Award, and nominations for two Golden Globe Awards and three British Academy Film Awards.
Born and raised in Gothenburg, Vikander began acting as a child in minor stage productions at the Gothenburg opera house and trained as a ballet dancer at the Royal Swedish Ballet in Stockholm. Sean Harris (born 1966, Bethnal Green, London, England) is a British actor, best known for his film roles in 24 Hour Party People (2002), Prometheus (2012), The King (2019), The Green Knight (2021), Spencer (2021), The Stranger (2022), and the Mission: Impossible franchise (2015-2018). As a stage actor, Harris was a member of the Glasgow Citizens Theatre, where he performed in stage productions such as Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet directed by Giles Havergal and as Carino in Don Juan directed by Robert David MacDonald. Kate Dickie (born in 1971 in East Kilbride, Scotland) is a five times award-winning Scottish actress who has appeared in TV-series, stage plays and movies. She is best-known for her portrayal as the security camera operative Jackie in her starring debut Red Road, directed by Andrea Arnold, and for which she was given several awards as best actress, among other things at the BAFTA Scotland Awards and the British Independent Film Awards in 2006. Dickie also supports the theatre company Solar Bear, which is known for its collaborations with deaf people, in part in her role as the patron.
