Nathaniel Wales Faxon is an American actor, comedian, director, and Academy Award-winning screenwriter. He won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for co-writing The Descendants (2011) and starred in the FOX comedy series Ben and Kate (2012–2013), the FX comedy series Married 2014–2015) and voices Elfo in the Netflix adult animated television series Disenchantment (2018-).
He is an alumnus of the Los Angeles-based improvisational and sketch comedy troupe The Groundlings, where he began performing in 2001.
He's best known for his appearances in comedic films such as Orange County (2002), Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007), Bad Teacher (2011), Zookeeper (2011), Tammy (2014), Sex Tape (2014), Life of the Party (2018), Father of the Year (2018), and several Broken Lizard films including Beerfest (2006). He also appeared in Charlie's Angels (2019).
He co-starred in Darren Star's semi-autobiographical satire Grosse Pointe and had recurring roles in several television series such as The Cleveland Show, Joey, Up All Night and Reno 911!.
He has been featured in a series of prominent Holiday Inn commercials featuring Joe Buck as well as an ad by Blockbuster. However, he did not get a significant lead role until 2012 when he starred as the titular Ben in Ben and Kate.

Peter Hastings is an American writer, director and producer who has worked in animation and live action. He studied music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
David Michael Koechner is an American character actor (film, television and stage), comedian and musician.
Koechner began studying improvisational comedy in Chicago at the ImprovOlympic, under the teachings of Del Close, before joining the Second City Northwest. After one-year stints of doing sketch comedy on Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, he began taking small parts in films such as Man on the Moon and Wag the Dog. While filming the country mockumentary Dill Scallion, Koechner befriended Dave 'Gruber' Allen, forming The Naked Trucker & T-Bones Show. The act became a hit at Hollywood clubs such as Largo, and the duo were invited to open for Tenacious D.
After a breakout role as Champ Kind in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, he began appearing frequently with larger supporting roles in many high profile comedic films, including Talladega Nights, Snakes on a Plane, Waiting..., The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, Extract and Thank You for Smoking, in addition to recurring guest appearances on Anchorman co-star Steve Carell's The Office as Todd Packer. On 17 January 2007, Koechner's Naked Trucker & T-Bones Show premiered on Comedy Central, giving him a starring role and full creative control. She provided the voice of the supporting character Mindy in the 2008 Walt Disney Animation Studios film Bolt, Haruhara Haruko in Gainax's OVA FLCL, and the computer program Jean in the 2009 television pilot Virtuality. She was interviewed in the 2008 documentary Adventures in Voice Acting. She is currently starring in Disney XD show Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil as Denise Buttowski and the Disney Channel show Fish Hooks as Bea's friend Shellsea.
