Oscar, a young boy, commits a noble murder and is forced to runaway from his rural hometown, leaving behind his best friend, Loux. He escapes to the nearest city, where he is inducted into a gang of child street thieves. His innocence slips away as he is introduced to love, murder, and corruption. 15 years later, he has forgotten his past and become the leader of this band of lost children. When Loux moves to the city in search of work, she takes a job with a struggling private investigator. Stumbling upon Oscar's missing child report, she takes it upon herself to find the boy who saved her life.

Mark Boone Junior (born March 17, 1955) is an American actor perhaps best known for his roles as Bobby Munson in FX's Sons of Anarchy and in two films by Christopher Nolan, Memento and Batman Begins. He frequently portrays a crooked cop or other authority figure, and has had a prolific career, appearing in over 70 movies, which also include 2 Fast 2 Furious, Get Carter, The General's Daughter, The Thin Red Line, Seven, and Die Hard 2. He has also made guest appearances on TV in Law & Order, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and several other shows. He had a one-second appearance as "New York Guy" in Armageddon when Eddie Griffin's character asked him what the news on TV was all about.
Boone started his career beside long time friend Steve Buscemi. Together the two provided audiences in the New York and Jersey area with stand up comedy. Isiah Whitlock Jr. (born September 13, 1954) is an American actor. He is most famous for his role on the HBO television series, The Wire as corrupt state senator Clay Davis. In 2011, Whitlock played an insurance agent named Ronald Wilkes in the film Cedar Rapids. Wilkes is a self-described fan of The Wire and does an impersonation of character Omar Little. Whitlock has said that the references to the series were written in before he became involved in Cedar Rapids.
He is also notable for appearing in Spike Lee films She Hate Me and 25th Hour as Agent Amos Flood. In all three projects, Whitlock established a catchphrase from his characters' distinct pronunciation of the word "shit" ("sheee-it").
He appeared as Eugine, a supporting role, in the 2003 film Pieces of April. He had a bit part in Goodfellas as a doctor who gives Henry Hill a Valium while attending to his brother. In 2007, he played Ethan Banks in Enchanted.
