From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Robert "Bob" Cobert (October 26, 1924 – February 19, 2020) was an American composer who worked in television and films. He was best known for his work with producer/director Dan Curtis, especially on the TV miniseries The Winds of War (1983) and War and Remembrance (1988). His early work included composing for the soap opera Dark Shadows and the two tie-in films, and composing the score for the 1972 TV movie The Night Stalker, together with The Night Strangler, which became the pilots for the TV series Kolchak: The Night Stalker. Cobert composed many game show themes. He also composed the music for the NBC soap opera The Doctors for a number of years as well as the ABC soap opera The Young Marrieds and the 1980-1981 CBS reality series That's My Line. Cobert died from pneumonia in Palm Springs, California at the age of 95.

John Karlen (born John Adam Karlewicz) was an American character actor who played multiple roles (Willie Loomis, Carl Collins, William H. Loomis, Desmond Collins, Alex Jenkins, and Kendrick Young) on the ABC serial Dark Shadows, in various episodes which aired from 1966 to 1971. Karlen also played Harvey Lacey, husband of Mary Beth Lacey (played by Tyne Daly), on the CBS crime series Cagney & Lacey (1982–88).

Although he has appeared in numerous films, it is by his television roles that he is generally known, starting with the BBC's Lovejoy (1986–94) and particularly in the HBO Western drama Deadwood (2004–06). He starred as King Silas Benjamin in NBC series Kings and as Blackbeard in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

The naturally black-headed Selby is best known for playing the roles of Quentin Collins on the ABC-TV serial, Dark Shadows (a role he played from 1968 to its ending in 1971 and again in the recent audio revival), and as the evil and compassionate estranged son of Angela Channing (played by Jane Wyman), Richard Channing, on the primetime CBS soap opera Falcon Crest (a role he played from 1982 to 1990). Barbara Steele (born December 29, 1937, Birkenhead, Merseyside, England) is an English film actress. She is best known for starring in Italian gothic horror films of the 1960s. Her breakthrough role came in Italian director Mario Bava's Black Sunday (1960), now hailed as a classic. Steele starred in a string of horror films, including The Horrible Dr. Hichcock (1962); The Ghost, directed by Riccardo Freda and Roger Corman's 1961 adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's short story The Pit and the Pendulum. She guested on various British television shows including the spy drama Danger Man starring Patrick McGoohan. In 2010, she was a guest star in the Dark Shadows audio drama The Night Whispers. In 2010, actor-writer Mark Gatiss interviewed Steele about her role in Black Sunday (1960) for his BBC documentary series A History of Horror.
