George Herbert Walker Bush was an American politician who served as the 41st President of the United States from 1989 to 1993. Prior to assuming the presidency, Bush served as the 43rd Vice President of the United States from 1981 to 1989. As a member of the Republican Party, he had previously been a representative, ambassador and director of CIA.

William Jefferson Clinton is an American politician who served as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Before that, he served two nonconsecutive terms as Governor of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981 and 1983 to 1993.

Edward James Olmos (born February 24, 1947) is an American actor, director, producer, and activist. He is best known for his roles as Lieutenant Martin "Marty" Castillo in Miami Vice (1984–1989), actor in and director of American Me (1992), William Adama in the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica (2004–2009), teacher Jaime Escalante in Stand and Deliver (1988), and Detective Gaff in Blade Runner (1982), and its sequel Blade Runner 2049 (2017). In 2018, he played the father of two members of an outlaw motorcycle club in the FX series Mayans MC. For his work in Miami Vice, Olmos won the 1985 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film. For his performance in Stand and Deliver, Olmos was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He is also known for his roles as patriarch Abraham Quintanilla in the film Selena, narrator El Pachuco in both the stage and film versions of Zoot Suit, and the voice of Chicharrón in Coco. Over the course of his career, Olmos has been a pioneer for more diversified roles and images of Hispanics in the U.S. media. Maxine Moore Waters is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for California's 43rd congressional district since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, Waters is currently in her 15th term in the House, having served since 1991.

Danny Joseph Bakewell (born 1946) is an American civil rights activist and entrepreneur. He is the owner of The Bakewell Company, which includes among its holdings the New Orleans radio station WBOK and the Los Angeles Sentinel newspaper. He is currently Chairman of the National Newspaper Publishers Association. Bakewell was born and raised in New Orleans, graduating from St. Augustine High School. Bakewell is the co-founder of the National Black United Fund. He also served as President of The Brotherhood Crusade, a civil rights advocate organization, for over thirty years, before stepping down to focus on his other projects. In recent years, Bakewell has been focused on expanding and diversifying his firm The Bakewell Company, which is the largest minority-owned development firm on the West Coast. He purchased the Los Angeles Sentinel, the city's oldest and largest Black newspaper, in 2004. Soon after, in 2007, he purchased the New Orleans radio station WBOK.
