Maxwell Stern is a freelance reporter who writes for the politics rag. Some of his stories are true, some - Not so much. After a prostitute is murdered who was a source for one Maxwell's stories he finds himself over his head and potentially on the biggest story of his career. Now he just needs to stay out of jail, and alive.

Eric Roberts
Eric Roberts (born April 18, 1956) is an American actor. His career began with a well-received performance in King of the Gypsies (1978), for which he earned his first Golden Globe Award nomination. His second Golden Globe nomination came for his portrayal of Paul Snider in Star 80 (1983), followed by Globe and Academy Award nominations for his supporting role in Runaway Train (1985). In a career spanning almost forty years, Roberts has performed in over 200 films, including Raggedy Man (1981), The Pope of Greenwich Village (1984), The Specialist (1994), Cecil B. Demented (2000), National Security (2003), The Dark Knight (2008), The Expendables (2010) and Inherent Vice (2014). His equally varied television work includes three seasons with the sitcom Less than Perfect, as well as recurring roles on the NBC drama Heroes and the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. His sisters Julia Roberts and Lisa Roberts Gillan, and daughter Emma Roberts, also have acting careers.

John Savage (born John Youngs) is an American film actor, producer, production manager, and composer.
Savage has appeared in more than 200 feature films, short films, recurring roles in television series and guest appearances in episodes of television series. One of Savage's first notable roles is as Claude Bukowski in the 1979 film Hair. His first major film role was as Steven Pushkov in the multiple Oscar-winning 1978 film The Deer Hunter. He also had a lead role in the 1979 film The Onion Field. In the late 1970s, he performed in the Broadway production of David Mamet's play American Buffalo.
In 1991, he starred in Italian director Lucio Fulci's final film Door to Silence. He then had a brief role in the 1998 war film The Thin Red Line, portrayed Captain Ransom in the two part episode Equinox of the television series Star Trek: Voyager in 1999, and appeared in the recurring role of Donald Lydecker in the first and second seasons of the 2000 television series Dark Angel.
Savage starred in the 2015 horror film Tales of Halloween, the 2017 film In Dubious Battle, and on the 2017 continuation of the television show Twin Peaks. In 2018, he appeared on the television show Goliath.

David Novak is a veteran of over twenty five years in the entertainment business. Most recent credits include numerous movies aired on Lifetime Channel and Lifetime Movie Network. The TV movie "My Daughter Was Stolen", which has aired numerous times on Lifetime, had David cast in the role of Detective Hobbs. He was also a co-producer on this project. David has also done many other projects and is process of developing films he has written as well. He is an actor, writer, musician, singer, song writer, and guitarist. In his early days in music (as a teenager into his 40's), he performed at numerous venues primarily in the Southern California area. His music included "cover" songs for many of the known groups of the time, but David also performed many of his own compositions. Early music groups he was the lead singer, front man and guitarist for include: Sonkist, Chaddessen Street Band, Grey Bear and more. His early acting career began doing extra work for many feature film, prime time television shows and national commercials. As he grew in his knowledge and ability, he began landing small speaking roles in various films and television shows. As the years unfolded his roles became bigger and more noteworthy. David now regularly works as a leading man and also in large supporting roles. One of his earlier "breakout" roles was in ABC's daytime television soap General Hospital where he landed an ongoing recurring role as "Tiso" (one of the mafia generals). His writing talents have also given themselves to a number of screenplays. He enjoys regular roles in feature films, television and commercials with an eye on producing his own projects.
Richard Allan Jones is an actor, director, musician, singer, and writer. His love of performing emerged early when at the age of three he sang in his church basement imitating Frank Sinatra. Middle and High School included talent shows, school plays/musicals, band, choir, and sports. He added a partner and toured Ohio imitating The Smothers Brothers after graduation. Performing continued at Ohio State, while lettering in swimming and tennis, and working full-time at radio stations WCOL and WBLY. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lt. during Vietnam era, working as AD on training films and the TV program "The Big Picture" at the Astoria Film Studio in NYC. After discharge, he directed television at COAX Cable TV in Columbus, Ohio. He returned to OSU earning a second BA, this time in theater/film, acting in a dozen plays, local TV shows like "The Judge," and performing in area clubs with his brother Bill, as the fabulous "Jones Brothers." He also wrote/directed his first film, and acted in a national documentary "Do More than Dream," as well as writing/performing the title song. An MA from Ohio State in Journalism led to a twenty-plus-year career in public relations/marketing, more community theater, as well as publishing his first novel, "Drafted" under the pen name Rich Allan. Moving with his family to LA in 2008, he has since appeared in three dozen films and TV shows, did character voice-overs for video games & movies, finished a second novel, and continues his love of music, writing songs, and performing with his 60s rock band, Revolution Road. Like most actors, he is still searching for his first big break.
