When David is left by his fiancé just days before the wedding, his relentlessly upbeat best man, Flula, insists that the pair go on David's previously planned honeymoon: a seven-day backpacking trip through the breathtaking mountains of Oregon. Their adventures are bookended with passages from William Clark's diary describing his friendship with Meriwether Lewis and the terrain they crossed during their expedition.

David Giuntoli
David C. Giuntoli (born June 18, 1980) is an American actor. He's best known for his roles as Det. Nick Burkhardt on NBC's supernatural drama Grimm (2011–2017), and Eddie Saville on ABC's drama A Million Little Things (2018–2023). He has appeared in films such as 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016) and Buddymoon (2016).
He first gained attention as a participant on MTV's Road Rules: South Pacific, and later on Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet. In 2007, he moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue an acting career. He has appeared on several TV series including Nip/Tuck, Veronica Mars, Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, Privileged, Without a Trace, and Cold Case, among others. He also hosted AT&T U-Verse "Buzz". His music career has not been as successful, but he has performed with German DJ Flula Borg, his occasional co-host on "Buzz," at The Viper Room in Los Angeles.
He married his Grimm co-star, actress Elizabeth Tulloch in June 2017. They have a daughter, Vivian, who was born in February 2019.

Flula Borg is a German techno DJ, engineer, actor, and YouTube personality who is better known as DJ Flula or simply Flula. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Borg appeared in the film Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) as a part of the German a cappella group Das Sound Machine.
Borg co-starred in Pitch Perfect 2 (2015), as the leader of a German a cappella group competing against the Bellas in an international competition. He will also appear in WWE Films' Killing Hasselhoff, which features such actors as Ken Jeong, Hulk Hogan, and David Hasselhoff. This film is set to be released in 2015.
Flula regularly posts videos on YouTube and his channel has amassed over 600,000 subscribers and 70 million total views since its launch in 2007. Some of his most popular videos are his vlogs, most notably "Jennifer is a Party Pooper", and his AutoTunes series, in which he records cover songs live in his car. His AutoTunes video with YouTube celebrity Chester See, a cover of "No Diggity" by Blackstreet, has over three million views and was nominated for a Streamy Award in 2014 Also in 2014, Flula's YouTube channel was listed on New Media Rockstars Top 100 Channels, ranked at #69.
