Peter Benson is a Canadian actor, writer, director, and producer for film and television, known for playing Detective Arthur Smith in Hallmark's Aurora Teagarden Mystery series. A talented ice hockey player growing up, she earned a scholarship to an American university until surgery postponed her arrival. On a whim, she registered at the University of Winnipeg and after attending a local performance of A Chorus Line for her theatre class, Lisa traded sports for the arts and went on to study theatre at the University of Winnipeg and the Canadian College of Performing Arts.
Lisa's natural athleticism gave her a natural entry into the film industry as a dancer and stunt performer. In animation, he was known as the voice of Miroku from InuYasha, Van Fanel from the Ocean dub of Escaflowne, Cyclops from X-Men Evolution, Jay from Class of the Titans, Teru Mikami from Death Note, Trowa Barton from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Ryo Takatsuki from Project ARMS, Goku from Ocean's dub of Dragon Ball Z (from Episode 160 onwards), Hot Shot from Transformers: Cybertron (replacing Brent Miller) and Cole from Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu. On camera, he was known for the recurring role of Captain Dave Kleinman from Stargate Atlantis.

Some of his many roles include prospector Jim McAllister on the drama TV series Arctic Air, Julius on the fantasy horror drama series Van Helsing, imposing warrior Wygar Oak on the second season of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, and Bojan "Boki" Boscovic on the dystopian thriller series Snowpiercer.
Paunovic is from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and "three generations of fighters" are in his family. His father is of Serbian descent, and his mother is of Croatian ancestry. His grandfather, father, and uncle were all champion boxers in Yugoslavia, and he was a champion boxer until a shoulder injury ended his career. Paunovic was in a rock band before he got an acting job at his first audition. He supports the Red Cross/Impact Anti-Bullying Campaign, as he had been bullied as a child.

In over thirty years as an actor, John has worked extensively in theatre, film, television and voiceovers. He has performed on stages throughout the world, including Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, where he was selected as a company member of the Globe's International Actors' Fellowship, and in Japan, where he toured as the title role in Hamlet. He has appeared in over one hundred productions and is the recipient of the 2013 Jessie Richardson Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Lead Role for his work in Pi Theatre's production of Mark O'Rowe's Terminus. John is also the creator of The 24 Hour Shakespeare Project, for which he performed continuously for twenty-four straight hours in all thirty-eight of Shakespeare's plays to raise money for British Columbia Children's Hospital.
His film work includes appearances in Fifty Shades Freed, If I Stay, American Mary, Stagecoach: The Texas Jack Story and Steven Spielberg's The BFG.
