Candice Patricia Bergen (born May 9, 1946) is an American actress and former fashion model. She won five Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards for her portrayal of the title character on the CBS sitcom Murphy Brown (1988–1998, 2018-2019). She is also known for her role as Shirley Schmidt on the ABC drama Boston Legal (2005–2008). In films, Bergen was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Starting Over (1979), and for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Gandhi (1982). Bergen began her career as a fashion model and appeared on the cover of Vogue before she made her screen debut in the film The Group (1966). Richard Jude Ciccolella (born November 30, 1947), better known as Jude Ciccolella, is an American character actor. Ciccolella was born in Nassau County, New York. He graduated from Brown University, class of 1969 where he acted in student productions. He studied at Temple University with a Master of Fine Arts degree in theatre. His film roles include parts in The Shawshank Redemption as Mert, Boys on the Side as Jerry, Night Falls on Manhattan as Lieutenant Wilson, Star Trek Nemesis as Romulan Commander Suran, Down With Love as the private eye, The Terminal as Karl Iverson, the 2004 Director's Cut DVD of Daredevil, the 2004 remake of The Manchurian Candidate as David Donovan, and the 2005 Sin City movie adaptation as Liebowitz. After guest starring roles in Law & Order, NYPD Blue, CSI: NY and ER, Ciccolella took a recurring guest role on 24. During the show's first and second seasons (2001–2003), he played Mike Novick, Chief of Staff to President David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert). He has also guest starred as Principal Raymond on Everybody Hates Chris; however, he was replaced upon reprising his role as Mike Novick in the last eight episodes of Season 4 of 24. He appeared in the 1992 James Foley and David Mamet film Glengarry Glen Ross as the Detective. He appeared in the scene where Al Pacino was having an argument with Kevin Spacey about the "six-thousand dollars" owed to him. Ciccolella was also seen in the episode of Nickelodeon's The Adventures of Pete & Pete titled "Tool and Die," where he plays the shop class teacher Mr Slurm, whose missing left hand stirred nothing but hearsay and rumors. Mr. Ciccolella did not reprise his role as Mr. Slurm in the season 3 episode, "Road Warrior." In 24's fourth season (2005), Ciccolella returned for the last 8 episodes. Mike had become an advisor to Acting President Charles Logan (Gregory Itzin), who had taken over after the downing of Air Force One critically injured President John Keeler (Geoff Pierson). He had continued this role in the show's fifth season (2006). However, he did not appear in the sixth season. In 2007, he guest-starred on NBC freshman drama Life. He also appeared in the 2007 film, The Wager. In 2008, he portrayed Phillip Davenport, a fictional Secretary of the Navy on the 6th season of the CBS show NCIS. Two years later, he appeared one more time for the last episode of the 8th season. In the "Supporting Players" featurette on the 24 season 5 DVD, actress Jean Smart reveals that Ciccolella is a folk singer.
Michelle Hurd (born December 21, 1966) is an American stage, film, and television actress. She is married to actor Garret Dillahunt. Michelle Hurd is the daughter of actor Hugh L. Hurd. She graduated from Saint Ann's School in 1984 and Boston University in 1988, and studied with the Alvin Ailey School. After her graduation from college, she studied at Great Britain's National Theatre . Her Broadway credits include the 1996 Stephen Sondheim-George Furth flop Getting Away with Murder. Other theater credits include Othello, A.M.L., Hamlet, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Looking for the Pony at Manhattan Theater Source with her sister Adrienne Hurd. She met her husband, Garret Dillahunt, in 900 Oneonta at Circle Repertory Theater Company. She has won several awards, including the Robbie Award and the California Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for the premiere of Richard Greenberg's The Violet Hour. She has also appeared in several movies, including Random Hearts, Personals and as the comic book superhero B.B. DaCosta/Fire in the unshown TV-pilot Justice League of America (1997). After working in television roles such as The Cosby Mysteries, New York Undercover and The Practice, she appeared in a 1997 episode of Law & Order. She began acting in 1998, graduated from Chattanooga High School of Performing Arts and attended Columbia College-Chicago as a Theater/Dance major. She trained with Cirque Du Soleil, then became an international headliner as a dancer/aerialist. During a performance Big Sky Motion Pictures offered her a role in Spring Break '83. She came off tour as a dancer/aerialist on Dec. 19th, 2010, and transitioned into acting. She was nominated as Best Supporting Actress in a feature film (Bloody Wedding (2011)) at the Fantastic Horror Film Festival '14. She has done motion capture and, performance capture intensive workshop with 'Tom Keegan' and has made appearances in several films, on television, done commercials, voice-over work, performed in music videos, done ADR work, and has been in over 100 magazines. In addition, she has posed for three bronze sculptures by sculptor Andrew Cawrse. The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art had a five-foot photo of her on display, and the New York Times published an article about the photo, calling it the "Essence of Power".
Madeleine was born in Lampertheim, Germany to German parents. Her mother died of cancer when Madeleine was a little girl and she was subsequently raised by her aunt and uncle. She grew up primarily overseas, having lived in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. She began modeling in Korea and Japan after being scouted by an agent at the age of 15. She moved to the United States after graduating from high school and continued modeling. She had her daughter Miranda when she was 19 years old before deciding to embark on an acting career once her daughter started elementary school. She worked as a burlesque performer, and with her background in ballet, has parlayed that skill into frequently being cast as a dancer in movies, music videos, commercials and television. She is known for playing both sexy and crazy characters, exuding an unconventional vulnerability in many roles. Her favorite roles to play are the type of characters that really get under your skin. She transitioned to writing and produced and starred in the occult horror movie "Blood Craft", her first screen play. She also starred in and executive produced the film "Rideshare". She is writing another script and looking forward to producing more films in the future.
