Richard David Briers, CBE was an English actor. His fifty-year career encompassed television, stage, film and radio.
Briers first came to prominence as George Starling in Marriage Lines (1961–66), but it was a decade later, when he narrated Roobarb and Noah and Nelly in... SkylArk (1974–76) and when he played Tom Good in the BBC sitcom The Good Life (1975–78), that he became a household name. Later, he starred as Martin in Ever Decreasing Circles (1984–89), and he had a leading role as Hector in Monarch of the Glen (2000–05). Congenial character actor, Tony Selby was the epitome of the down-to earth, friendly Londoner of stage and screen. He starred in films such as Alfie, Adolf Hitler - My Part In His Downfall, Villain and even Superman, but it is the small screen that was his more natural home; he headlined Get Some In (1975) as the memorable bully Corporal Marsh, and had a main part in Love Hurts (1992-94) opposite Adam Faith and Zoe Wanamaker. Perhaps his greatest contribution had been guest appearances where his charisma, which could be menacing when he chose, saw him pop up in several high profile and popular series - from his recurring role as the roguish Glitz in Dr Who, to Casualty, Lovejoy, Holby City, The Bill and EastEnders to name but a few.
Dexter Fletcher (born 31 January 1966) is an English actor and director. He has appeared in Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and the crime comedy Smoking Guns, as well as in television shows such as the comedy-drama Hotel Babylon, the HBO series Band of Brothers and, earlier in his career, the children's show Press Gang. He was also in the film Bugsy Malone. He had a short stint as a presenter on the third series of Channel 4's GamesMaster in 1993 and 1994.
Fletcher made his directorial debut with Wild Bill (2011), and also directed Sunshine on Leith (2013) and Eddie the Eagle (2015). He replaced Bryan Singer as director of Bohemian Rhapsody, a biopic about the band Queen, released in October 2018; due to DGA rules, he received executive producer credit. In 2019 he directed Rocketman, a film based on the life of Elton John.

Wolf Kahler (3 April 1940) is a German actor born in Kiel. Since 1975, he has appeared in many English language US and UK television and film productions. An early role for him was Kaiser Wilhelm II in Michael York's adventure film The Riddle of the Sands. One of his most well-known roles was that of Dietrich in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Kahler's voice also appears in video games including as Kaiser Vlad in Battalion Wars. Kahler played the Prince of Tübingen in Stanley Kubrick's 1975 film, Barry Lyndon In 2001 he portrayed aWehrmacht General in the World War II TV miniseries, Band of Brothers. Kahler played the German Ambassador in the long-running "Ambassador's Reception" TV advertisement for Ferrero Rocher chocolate, uttering the line "Excellente!".
He also appears as a famous Germanic architect in US television advertisements for the Kohler Company. In 2011 Kahler appeared as Dr. Hoffmanstahl in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
Biography
In 1965 Joan was chosen to be one of the six original Playboy Bunny Girls and went to Chicago to train in the Chicago Playboy Club. She returned to England in 1966 to audition and train British girls to open the London Playboy Club in Park Lane. Whilst there Frank Sinatra chose her to appear in his film The Naked Runner.
In October 1966 Joan married Chas Hodges (of Chas & Dave). She then decided to become a full time Mum. They now have three children, Juliet, Kate, who is a singer/songwriter (kategarnermusic.com) and Nik, who is a musician and Film/tv composer (nikhodges.com). Joan and Chas also have a granddaughter fashion designer Charlie Hodges (saccharineshrine.com) and Grandson Harry Garner.
In 1992 Joan fulfilled a lifetime ambition to become an actress, she enrolled and trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts as a mature student.
Upon graduation she joined The Millfield Theatre Company in North London, where she appeared in several productions, making her professional acting debut as the Nurse in Romeo & Juliet. During the run she was spotted by a casting director, who cast her in London's Burning, her first TV appearance. Joan's big break came in 1997 when John Sullivan offered her the role of Marilyn in his new Comedy/Drama series Roger Roger for the BBC, in which she appeared as a regular for 3 series, working alongside Robert Daws, Philip Glenister and Pippa Guard. Joan has also played Georgia Mackenzies mother, Irene Hagger, in Hot Money for Granada, Mrs Meadows in Fierce for Channel 4 Films and Eileen Draper in The Bill for Thames Television. She was also Jimmy's Mum who 'made his sandwiches!' in the award winning Lucozade TV commercial. Another career highlight was playing Marion in the 2001 Christmas Special of Only Fools & Horses for the BBC.
Joan is a member of The Actors' Guild of Great Britain and Women in Film & Television.
