Teddy Duncan's middle-class family embarks on a road trip from their home in Denver to visit Mrs. Duncans Parents, the Blankenhoopers, in Palm Springs. When they find themselves stranded between Denver and Utah, they try to hitch a ride to Las Vegas with a seemingly normal older couple in a station wagon from Roswell, New Mexico. It turns out that the couple believes they are the victims of alien abduction. The Duncan's must resort to purchasing a clunker Yugo to get to Utah, have their luggage stolen in Las Vegas, and survive a zany Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma Blankenhooper.

Bridgit Claire Mendler (born December 18, 1992) is an American actress, singer-songwriter, musician and producer. She is best known for her lead role as Teddy Duncan on the Disney Channel Original Series Good Luck Charlie, her recurring role as Juliet Van Heusen on Wizards of Waverly Place and her lead role as Olivia on the Disney Channel Original Movie Lemonade Mouth.
She has also appeared in Labor Pains, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2. In 2015 she joined the main cast of the NBC sitcom Undateable as Candace, which aired until 2016. In 2019, she starred on Netflix's Merry Happy Whatever as Emmy Quinn.
Aside from her artistic career, Bridgit also has a master's degree on MIT and is currently working on JD in Harvard Law School and PhD on MIT.
Leigh-Allyn Baker (born March 13, 1972) is an American actress. She had recurring roles on Charmed and as Ellen on Will & Grace, and a starring role as the matriarch Amy Duncan on the Disney Channel sitcom Good Luck Charlie. She also provided the voice of Abby on the computer-animated Nickelodeon series Back at the Barnyard.

Bradley Steven Perry (born November 23, 1998) is an American child actor. He is best known for his main role as Gabe Duncan on the Disney Channel Original Series Good Luck Charlie. He appears in the Disney Channel Original Movie entitled Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure, a spin-off film of High School Musical.
Perry lives in southern California, where he plays on a local baseball team. He has three older sisters.

Debra Monk (born February 27, 1949) is an American actress, singer, and writer, best known for her performances on the Broadway stage. Monk has received a Tony Award and Emmy Awards. Monk was born in Middletown, Ohio. She was voted "best personality" by the graduating class at Wheaton High School in Silver Spring,Maryland. She graduated from Frostburg State University in 1973. In 1975, Monk received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Monk garnered first attention in theatrical circles as one of the co-writers and co-stars of the 1982 musical Pump Boys and Dinettes. She has won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for performance in Redwood Curtain (1993). She also was nominated an Tony Award for roles in Picnic (1994), Steel Pier (1997), and Curtains (2007). In 2000, she has won Obie Award for The Time of the Cuckoo. Monk has appeared in over 30 films as of early 1990s. She made her film debut in the movie version of Prelude to a Kiss, playing Aunt Dorothy. She later appeared in The Bridges of Madison County and The Devil's Advocate. On television, she has won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for recurring performance as Katie Sipowicz in the ABC series, NYPD Blue. Abbie Cobb (born June 6, 1985) is an American actress and author. She is best known for her recurring roles as Emily Bradford on 90210 and as Kimantha on Suburgatory.
Pamela Dunlap is known for many movie roles starting on Ironside (1967), more recently I Am Sam (2001), The Holiday (2006), Changeling (2008), and most recently Wetlands (2017). Terry Wayne Fator (born June 10, 1965) is a ventriloquist, impressionist, comedian, and singer from Mesquite, Texas. Fator is capable of doing over 100 ventriloquial impersonations, and uses 16 different puppets in his act. He was the winner of Season 2 of America's Got Talent, and received the million dollar prize. The following year, he was signed on as the headliner at The Mirage hotel and casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
