Jon Cedar (1931-2011) was an American actor who appeared in more than sixty films and television shows during his career. He was best known for his recurring role as Corporal Karl Langenscheidt on the television series Hogan's Heroes.
After serving in the U.S. military during the Korean War, he honed his craft in high school theatre before joining his family in traveling musical and off-Broadway productions. Later, he graced the stage with the Players Ring theatre troupe in Hollywood.
With a filmography boasting over 60 film and television appearances, Cedar's most prominent role was undoubtedly Corporal Karl Langenscheidt on the beloved series "Hogan's Heroes." He also graced the silver screen in films like "Capricorn One," "Death Hunt," "The Manitou," and "The Concorde... Airport '79." His television appearances were equally impressive, featuring guest roles on numerous iconic shows including "Matlock," "Barnaby Jones," "Kojak," and "Murder, She Wrote."
Married to Barbara Joan Shandell and father to two children, Jon Cedar continued acting until his passing in Los Angeles, California at the age of 80.
Denbo was born and raised in suburban Boston, in Swampscott, Massachusetts. She is an only child. Her mother is from Montreal, and her father is from New Jersey near Philadelphia; both parents were raised in Orthodox Jewish households. Denbo attended a Jewish day school from kindergarten to sixth grade. Several of her summers were spent at Camp Tel Noar in Hampstead, New Hampshire where she starred as Wendy in Peter Pan and appeared in several other plays. Denbo attended college at Boston University, where she participated in improvisational comedy. She also co-starred in the FX series Terriers and appeared in Spy, The Heat and Ghostbusters (2016).
Michael Ensign (born 13 February 1944) is an American actor. He was born in Arizona (height 6' 1" (1,85 m)), and he is of British/American descent, living extensively in both the USA and the UK. He trained as an actor at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He spent the first eleven years of his professional career in the theatre in Britain. He was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company from 1972 to 1975. He played the leading man (Donald) in the musical, 'Irene', at London's Adelphi Theatre in 1978. He appeared in the London productions of The Curse Of The Starving Class (Royal Court Theatre), The Red Devil Battery Sign (Phoenix Theatre) and numerous English Repertory Theatres. His film and television work has been primarily in the USA. In 2009 he was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award by the College of Fine Arts, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah. Michael Ensign is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
