Yorkshire, 1974. Fear, mistrust and institutionalised police corruption are running riot. Andrew Russell Garfield (born 20 August 1983) is an English and American actor. He came to international attention in 2010 with the supporting role of Eduardo Saverin in the drama The Social Network. He gained wider recognition for playing Spider-Man in the superhero films The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), and later in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
Garfield received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayals of Desmond Doss in the war film Hacksaw Ridge(2016) and Jonathan Larson in the musical drama Tick, Tick... Boom! (2021). He also won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for the latter. He has also starred in the films Never Let Me Go (2010), Silence (2016), The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021) and We Live in Time (2024). On television, he starred a Mormon detective in the crime drama miniseries Under the Banner of Heaven (2022) for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor.
On stage, Garfield made his Broadway debut playing Biff Loman in the 2012 revival of Death of a Salesman for which he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play. He played Prior Walter in Angels in Americaon the West End in 2017 receiving a nomination for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor. He reprised the role on Broadway in 2018, winning the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play.

Warren Clarke (April 26, 1947 - November 12, 2014) was an English actor. He was known for his appearances in many films, including a significant early role as Dim in Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, and for numerous television appearances, including lead roles in the TV series Dalziel and Pascoe (as Detective Superintendent Andy Dalziel), The Manageress and Sleepers.
Shaun Mark Bean (born 17 April 1959) is an English actor. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Bean made his professional debut in a theatre production of Romeo and Juliet in 1983. Retaining his Yorkshire accent, he first found mainstream success for his portrayal of Richard Sharpe in the ITV series Sharpe, which originally ran from 1993 to 1997.

David Mark Morrissey (born 21 June 1964) is an English actor and director. Morrissey grew up in the Kensington and Knotty Ash areas of Liverpool. He learned to act at the Everyman Youth Theatre, alongside Ian Hart, Mark and Stephen McGann, and Cathy Tyson. At the age of 18, he and Hart were cast in the television series One Summer (1983), which won them recognition throughout the country. After making One Summer, Morrissey attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art before acting with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.
Throughout the 1990s, he often portrayed policemen and soldiers, though took other defining roles such as Bradley Headstone in Our Mutual Friend (1998) and Christopher Finzi in Hilary and Jackie (1998). More film parts followed, including roles in Some Voices (2000) and Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001), before he played the critically acclaimed roles of Stephen Collins in State of Play (2003) and Gordon Brown in The Deal (2003). The former won him a nomination at the British Academy Television Awards and the latter a Best Actor award at the Royal Television Society Awards. His film roles have not always been acclaimed; his appearance as the male lead in Basic Instinct 2 (2006) was widely criticised, and The Reaping (2007) bombed at the box office. Since then, he has had leading roles in Sense and Sensibility (2008), Red Riding (2009) and Five Days (2010), acted in the films Nowhere Boy (2009) and Centurion (2010), and produced and starred in the crime drama Thorne (2010). He returned to the stage in 2008 for a run of Neil LaBute's In a Dark Dark House and will take the title role in the Liverpool Everyman's production of Macbeth in 2011.
As a director Morrissey has helmed short films, and the dramas Sweet Revenge (2001) and Passer By (2004) for the BBC. His feature debut, Don't Worry About Me, premiered at the 2009 London Film Festival and was broadcast on BBC television in March 2010. He is married to the novelist Esther Freud, has three children and is a patron of numerous charities.

John Henshaw (born 1951, Ancoats, Manchester) is a British actor famed for his roles as Ken the landlord in Early Doors, Wilf Bradshaw in Born and Bred and PC Roy Bramwell in The Cops.
Henshaw was born one of 12 children. He grew up in Ancoats, Manchester's "Little Italy" community. He was a refuse collector for ten years before deciding to become an actor at the age of 40.
His first big break in acting was as a minder to Robert Lindsay's character Michael Murray in the acclaimed Channel 4 series, G.B.H. Other TV credits include The Royle Family, The Visit, Life on Mars, whilst film credits include the Steve Coogan comedy The Parole Officer, the Bert Trautmann biopic The Keeper, and the Ken Loach films Looking For Eric and The Angels' Share. Henshaw is chairman of the 24:7 Theatre Festival, an annual festival of new writing for theatre based in Manchester.

Rita May is an English film and television actress, singer, and writer, best known for playing Mrs Kemp in Threads, Jean in Early Doors and Margaret in Trollied. She's also the only original cast remember who appeared in all episodes of the children's ITV drama series "Children's Ward" from 1989 to 2000.

Robert Sheehan (born 7 January 1988) is an Irish actor. Sheehan is known for playing Klaus Hargreeves on Netflix's original series The Umbrella Academy. He is the son of Joe and Maria Sheehan. His father was a member of the Garda Síochána, the police force of the Republic of Ireland. As a child, Sheehan was interested in performing music. He learned how to play the banjo, the bodhrán, and the spoons. He took part in the Fleadh Cheoil, an Irish music competition for children and teenagers. His interest in acting started when his mother took him to an audition for drama film "Song for a Raggy Boy" (2003), about an oppressive school for boys during World War II. Sheehan won an acting part in the film and socialized with other young actors. Following his film debut, Sheehan started acting in theatrical performances.

Rebecca Maria Hall (born May 3, 1982) is an English actress and filmmaker. She made her first onscreen appearance at age 10 in the 1992 television adaptation of The Camomile Lawn, directed by her father, Sir Peter Hall. Her professional stage debut came in her father's 2002 production of Mrs. Warren's Profession, which earned her the Ian Charleson Award.
In 2006, following her film debut in Starter for 10, Hall got her breakthrough role in Christopher Nolan's thriller film The Prestige. In 2008, she starred as Vicky in Woody Allen's romantic comedy-drama Vicky Cristina Barcelona, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. Sean Harris (born 1966, Bethnal Green, London, England) is a British actor, best known for his film roles in 24 Hour Party People (2002), Prometheus (2012), The King (2019), The Green Knight (2021), Spencer (2021), The Stranger (2022), and the Mission: Impossible franchise (2015-2018).
