Christopher Nash Elliott is an American actor, comedian, writer, director, and author. He was born on May 31, 1960, in New York City, New York. He is the youngest of five children of Lee (née Peppers), a model and TV director, and Bob Elliott, who was part of the successful comedy team Bob and Ray.
Elliott began his career as a writer for Late Night with David Letterman in 1982. He stayed with the show for six years, during which time he created and performed in many memorable sketches. In 1990, he created and starred in the cult comedy series Get a Life, which ran for two seasons on Fox.
Elliott has also appeared in numerous films, including Cabin Boy (1994), Scary Movie 2 (2001), Something About Mary (1998), and There's Something About Mary (1998). He has also had recurring roles on the television shows Everybody Loves Raymond (2003-2005), How I Met Your Mother (2009-2014), and Eagleheart (2011-2014).
In recent years, Elliott has had a recurring role on the Canadian television comedy series Schitt's Creek (2015-2020). He played Roland Schitt, the eccentric father of the show's main character, Johnny Schitt. For his performance, Elliott received a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
Elliott is also a writer and director. He has written several books, including Daddy's Boy (1989), a memoir about his relationship with his father. He has also directed several films, including the comedy Strange Brew (1983), which he co-wrote with his father.
Elliott is married to Paula Niedert, whom he met while she was a talent coordinator on Late Night with David Letterman. They have two daughters, Abby and Bridey.

Crockett appeared in HBO's Def Comedy Jam in 1996, demonstrating his impressions and physical comedy. He was a cast member of Wild 'n Out, starring Nick Cannon. He has appeared on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Blackish, co-starred in the films A Haunted House 1 & 2 with Marlon Wayans, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins with Martin Lawrence, Soul Men with Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac, The Wedding Ringer with Kevin Hart and Josh Gad, and Pixels with Adam Sandler.

Kennedy attended Western Michigan University where his talent was discovered. He soon transferred to the University of Delaware to major in theatre and acting. Kennedy soon moved to Los Angeles and began to guest star on several shows including Six Feet Under, Blind Justice, Barbershop, Love, Inc., NYPD Blue, The Shield, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
In 2005, Kennedy won a recurring role on the popular ABC primetime soap, Desperate Housewives where he played Caleb Applewhite, a fugitive who was being held captive in his mother's (Alfre Woodard) basement. However shortly after in November 2005, Kennedy was fired from Desperate Housewives; Kennedy himself claimed that Touchstone Television, the producers of the show, wanted to take a new direction with the character and bought out his contract. He was replaced by NaShawn Kearse. The producers indicated it was due to sexual misconduct, given his screen time at the time his contract was cancelled amounted to no more than a few seconds.
Kennedy joined the cast of Showtime's hit series Weeds during its second and third season. He played the drug-dealer and self-described "thug", "U-Turn".
Kennedy played a gay inmate and gang leader in My Name is Earl and a married inmate and ex-con in Raising the Bar.
Kennedy also had an uncredited role in season six of the medical drama House, playing the son of a brutal African dictator.
