Vanessa Estelle Williams (sometimes professionally credited as Vanessa A. Williams) is an American actress and producer. She is best known for her roles as Maxine Joseph–Chadway in the Showtime drama series, Soul Food (2000–04), for which she received NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series, and as Rhonda Blair in the first season of the Fox prime time soap opera, Melrose Place (1992–93). She is also known as Nino Brown's feisty gun moll, Keisha in the 1991 crime drama film, New Jack City and as Anne-Marie McCoy in the first and fourth of the Candyman films.
Though not related, she is sometimes confused with American actress, singer, and former Miss America 1984, Vanessa L. Williams. Both women were also, coincidentally, born in New York in the same year. In addition, Vanessa A. Williams starred in the television soap opera, Soul Food, while Vanessa L. Cameron Bancroft (born May 17, 1967 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada), sometimes credited as Cam Bancroft is a television actor. He studied acting at the California Institute of the Arts, from the late eighties/early nineties. Bancroft is an alumnus of Handsworth Secondary School. He is best known for playing Joe Bradley on the television series Beverly Hills, 90210. He was on the show from 1995 to 1996. He played the male leading role in Code Name: Eternity in 1999-2000. In 2005 Bancroft guest starred in Season 4 of the hit TV Series 24. He played field agent Lee Castle in 9 episodes. Bancroft has also made numerous guest appearances on several television series. In 2005, he starred as Charles Ingalls in the television miniseries, Little House on the Prairie. He also played the demon Cryto in the Charmed Season 2 episode, "How to make a Quilt Out of Americans". In Supernatural Season 7 (2011), he played the role of Dr. Gaines who was taken over by a Leviathan. He appeared in three episodes as this murderous doctor.

Arlene grew up in New Hampshire, and spent some of her childhood in Alaska and Canada. As an adult, She has lived and worked in Italy and Japan. Her father is from Newfoundland Canada and her mother from New Hampshire. Growing up in a musical Scotch/Irish home, Arlene did her first TV appearance at the age of 5 on a show called "The Uncle Guss Show" filmed in New Hampshire. Her father is a bagpiper/minister and her mother a teacher. She started dance at a very young age and competed in many pageants, including winning the Miss Interline pageant and Mrs. Hawaii America pageant. Arlene found her passion for acting as a child. She started acting with a group of kids that would get together during the summer months. They would write plays, make costumes, then dance, sing and perform on a beach for all summer vacationers.
She would also spend a lot of time working with the children's ministry performing in the church. She started taking acting acting classes in grammar school and had the lead in several plays in high school. Her high school drama coach as well as her dance instructor encouraged her to continue acting after high school. She uses many of the personal experiences of working with foster children, prevent child abuse, and crisis pregnancy center to develop her characters. She works with several charities that are dear to her heart. She was the spokes person for "Prevent Child Abuse in 2005. She works with Heart Gallery, St. Charles Home, Cards for Kids in Hospitals, and Aloha Pregnancy Center.
