A mystery-thriller about an Italian woman who moves to Davenport to open a restaurant. After her husband commits suicide, she spends fifteen years recovering at a Minnesota mental hospital. When she builds herself up enough to begin another restaurant, she discovers that a murder took place there fifty years earlier. She decides to investigate and finds a secret plot.

She is known for her starring roles in films including A Taste of Honey (1961), The Leather Boys (1964), The Knack …and How to Get It (1965), Doctor Zhivago (1965), and Smashing Time (1967). For A Taste of Honey, she won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress, and Most Promising Newcomer at both the BAFTA Awards and Golden Globe Awards. Her other film appearances include An Awfully Big Adventure (1995), Under the Skin (1997), and Being Julia (2004).

Richard Treat Williams (December 1, 1951 – June 12, 2023) was an American actor, author, and aviator. Williams' accolades include nominations for two Screen Actors Guild Awards, three Golden Globes, a Primetime Emmy, two Satellite Awards, and an Independent Spirit Award. He appeared in over 75 films and several television series. Williams' career included numerous stage roles.
On June 12, 2023, Williams was involved in a motorcycle crash on Vermont Route 30, near Dorset. According to the Vermont State Police, a 2008 Honda Element in the southbound lane turned into the path of Williams' motorcycle in the northbound lane, who was unable to avoid colliding with it. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at the age of 71.

Sydne Rome is a United States-born, Italy-based film actress. Her first name is often misspelled Sydney or Sidney.
Born in Akron, Rome grew up in a wealthy family in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Her father was president of a plastics corporation in the Akron area. She started her career in 1969 in the British movie Some Girls Do. She then appeared in Italian films, often playing the young, seemingly innocent American abroad, and also in spaghetti westerns. Subsequently she made forays into German film and television.
At the beginnings of the 1980s, Rome became an icon of the aerobics craze and published workout videos as well as the album "Aerobic Fitness Dancing", produced by Frank Farian and recorded in German, Spanish and Italian. As a singer, she recorded the single "Angelo prepotente" (1980) in Italian, English ("For You") and German ("Wozu"). She also recorded a cover version of Marty Balin's hit "Hearts".
In 1973, she married Emilio Lari; subsequently, she married the gerontologist Roberto Bernabei. She has been living in Italy since the early 1970s.
Venantino Venantini (17 April 1930 – 9 October 2018) was an Italian film actor. He was the father of Victoria Venantini and Luca Venantini and appeared in more than 140 films between 1954 and 2018.
He made his debut in the cinema with an appearance in Un giorno in pretura under the direction of Steno and he had his first important role in Odissea Nuda (1961), directed by Franco Rossi. Among the almost 150 films he performed in, some became cult favorites such as Les Tontons flingueurs, Amore libero - Free Love, Black Emanuelle and City of the Living Dead.
He acted with actors such as Lino Ventura, Yves Montand, Alain Delon and Gérard Depardieu and for directors such as Ettore Scola, Luciano Salce and Dino Risi and for French film directors such as Georges Lautner, Gérard Oury and Claude Lelouch.
