Anupam Kher (born March 7, 1955) is an Indian actor, director and producer who works primarily in Hindi-language films. He has appeared in nearly 400 films and 100 plays. He has played a variety of characters including numerous critically acclaimed leading or parallel roles. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri in 2004 and the Padma Bhushan in 2016 for his contribution in the field of Indian cinema and arts. Kher is known internationally for Bend It Like Beckham (2002), Bride and Prejudice (2004) and The Mistress of Spices (2005). In 2012, he co-starred in the Academy Award-winning Silver Linings Playbook.
Vijay Raaz is an Indian film actor. His breakthrough hit came when he played the role of Dubeyji in the movie Monsoon Wedding. Since then, Raaz has been cast in small, often comedic roles, in many Hindi movies, often depicting the character of a common man. Raaz was born and raised in Delhi where he attended Kirori Mal College. While at college he was a part of the dramatic society The Players. He also appeared in plays at the National School of Drama. He decided to focus on a film career and moved to Mumbai where he received a role in Ram Gopal Varma's Jungle. Naseeruddin Shah had seen him perform at the NSD and recommended him to Mahesh Mathai for Bhopal Express and to Mira Nair for Monsoon Wedding. After the success of Monsoon Wedding Raaz received many roles. His first mainstream film cast as the leading actor was Raghu Romeo, a box office success where Raaz depicts the life of a confused lower-class Indian fellow. Makarand Deshpande (born 6 March 1966) is an Indian film actor, writer, and director in Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam cinema, and Indian Theatre. He is often seen in supporting and pivotal roles in various films like Jungle, Sarfarosh, Swades, Makdee, and Darna Zaroori Hai where he often plays drunkard, wayfarer, and comic roles. He has directed over 5 films. The bulk of his work, however is in theatre. He has written 350 full-length plays and at least 12 short plays and has his own theatre company, Ansh. Deshpande has an unconventional personality and is noted for his unusual outfits and hairstyles.He lives in Vile Parle in Mumbai. He studied in Shri BPM school.
