It's the night before Hogswatch, usually a time of joy on Discworld, but there are suspicious going-on and the criminal underworld is abuzz. The beloved Hogfather - the jolly bearer of glee and pork-related gifts for children everywhere - has vanished. Suddenly, Discworld's entire mythical system is under threat. The fate of this magical time rests in the hands of a very motley group: A band of wizards headed up by a mystical university president named Mustrum Ridcully (Joss Ackland), a loyal manservant called Albert (David Jason), a level-headed governess called Susan Sto Heilt (Michelle Dockery), and her grandfather, who happens to be - Death (Marnix van den Broeke).

David Jason
English actor and comedian. He played Derek "Del Boy" Trotter in the long-running BBC comedy series Only Fools and Horses, and Detective Inspector Jack Frost on the ITV crime drama A Touch of Frost.
Other high-profile television roles were as Granville in the sitcom Open All Hours, and Pop Larkin in the comedy drama The Darling Buds of May as well as the voices of Mr. Toad in The Wind in the Willows, Danger Mouse and Count Duckula. His last original appearance as Del Boy was in 2014, while Jason retired his role as Frost in 2010.
One of the best loved actors in British popular culture, in September 2006 Jason topped the poll to find TV's 50 Greatest Stars, as part of ITV's 50th anniversary celebrations. Marc Warren is an English actor, known for his roles in British television series such as Band of Brothers, Hustle, The Vice, State of Play, Mad Dogs, The Musketeers, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, and Van Der Valk. He was born in Northampton, England, in 1967. He studied acting at the East 15 Acting School in Essex.
Warren made his professional acting debut in 1986 in the play Stags and Hens at the Northampton Theatre Royal. He has since appeared in numerous stage productions, including Kes, Kingdom of Earth, and To Kill a Mockingbird.
Warren's breakthrough television role came in 2001, when he played Albert Blithe in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. Warren is married to actress Polly Walker and they have two children.
Michelle Dockery (born December 15, 1981 in Essex) is an English actress, mostly on stage, who has become best known for her role as Lady Mary Crawley in the television drama series Downton Abbey. She made her television debut as Susan Sto Helit in Terry Pratchett's Hogfather in 2006.
David Hattersley Warner (29 July 1941 - 24 July 2022) was an English actor. Born on 29th July 1941 in Manchester, he attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and worked in the theatre before attaining prominence on screen in the early 1960s through his lead performance in the Karel Reisz film Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment, for which he was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
Warner portrayed both romantic leads and villainous characters across a range of media, including The Ballad of Cable Hogue, Straw Dogs, Cross of Iron, The Omen, Holocaust, The Thirty Nine Steps, Time After Time, Time Bandits, Tron, A Christmas Carol, Portrait in Evil, Titanic, Mary Poppins Returns and various characters in the Star Trek franchise, in the films Star Trek V: The Final Frontier and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation.
In 1981, he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Special for his portrayal of Pomponius Falco in the television miniseries Masada.
He died on 24th July 2022, aged 80.
