Richard Roxburgh is an Australian AFI Award-winning actor who has starred in many Australian films and has appeared in supporting roles in a number of Hollywood productions, usually as villains.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Essie Davis is an Australian actress. Born and raised in Hobart, Tasmania, she is the daughter of locally famed artist George Davis. She emerged from the Old Nick Company at the University of Tasmania in the late 1980s and has gone on to appear in Hollywood movies. She is a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney. Her career started after her role in the all Australian movie Dad and Dave: On Our Selection (1995), also starring other prestigious actors such as Geoffrey Rush, Leo McKern, and Joan Sutherland. Her most famous movie roles are in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, Richard Flanagan's 1998 Tasmanian film The Sound of One Hand Clapping, and Girl with a Pearl Earring. In 2003 she won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress for her UK performance in the Tennessee Williams play A Streetcar Named Desire. In 2004 she starred in a Broadway production of Tom Stoppard's Jumpers, for which she earned a Tony nomination. In 2005 she appeared as Mrs. Nellie Lovett in the BBC production of Sweeney Todd with Ray Winstone. In the 2008 film Hey, Hey, It's Esther Blueburger she plays Esther's controlling mother. She has recently completed filming the movie Australia with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, directed by Baz Luhrmann. In 2008 Davis played Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof for the Melbourne Theatre Company. She returned to Tasmania to launch the "The Tasmanian Theatre Company" in 2008 and help support local theatre whilst encouraging youth to continue participating in the arts. Firass Dirani (born 1984) is an Australian film and television actor known for his roles of Nick Russell, the Red Mystic Ranger on Power Rangers Mystic Force, Charlie in the 2009 Australian film The Combination, and as John Ibrahim on the 2010 series Underbelly: The Golden Mile. Since 2012, he has played Justin Baynie in the Australian TV series House Husbands.
Tony Barry (born 28 August 1941) was an Australian tough-looking actor and activist who performed in nearly 60 feature films and over 45 television series, across a five-decade career, in both Australia and New Zealand. Barry was for a number of years afflicted by melanoma, culminating in a 2013 leg amputation. He nonetheless battled on and continued his acting career right up to his death on 21 December 2022, at the age of 81.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Daniel "Danny" Roberts (born 1966) is an Australian actor. He started with the Patch Theatre at age 12, and was in the first round at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 1979. He moved to Melbourne in 1982 where he appeared in Cop Shop and The Sullivans. He then played a lead role in the soap opera Waterloo Station (1983), but the series was cancelled after a few months on air. He then became a major cast member in Sons and Daughters playing Andy Green from 1983 until the series ended in 1987. After Sons and Daughters he travelled to the United States where he met his wife. They married and had two children Alania Neil-Roberts, and David Jones-Roberts. Danny Roberts went on to a regular role in soap opera The Power, The Passion which ran for eight months in 1989. After the series was cancelled he moved to Byron Bay, New South Wales where he founded the Australian Theatre Company in 1991. He was Artistic Director of the company until 1995, then acted in the series Fire playing Georgie Parker's brother Ted Cartright. Other roles include The Last Bullet, Home and Away, Blue Heelers, Murder Call, Stingers, Young Lions, Big Sky, Close Contact. His film credits include, Blackwater Trail, Walking on Water, Beneath Clouds, Mission: Impossible 2, Dreamland. He worked on Underbelly: The Golden Mile. He currently plays Nate's father Gavin Cooper on Home and Away.
