Cara-Beth Burnside, nicknamed "CB" (born July 23, 1971, in Orange, California, United States), is a professional skateboarder and snowboarder and ranks amongst the top female athletes in these sports in the world. She was the first president of the Action Sports Alliance. Burnside started skating in men's amateur skating competitions in the 1980s due to the lack of women's skate contests. During this time, Burnside started to learn to snowboard due to the lack of professional opportunities for female skaters. As a skateboarder, Burnside has won more than 16 titles in competitions such as the X Games, All Girl Skate Jam, Vans Triple Crown, Slam City Jam and Soul Bowl, and in 2004 she was named Female Vert Skater of the Year by World Cup Skating. She has received a total of 5 Summer X Games medals for skateboarding. In 1989, Burnside became the first woman to appear on the cover of Thrasher Magazine and in 1999, she became the first woman to have a signature skate shoe. Burnside was named TransWorld Skateboarding's female vert skater of the year in 2004. In 2015, Burnside was inducted in to the Skateboarding Hall of Fame.
Amy Caron (born November 2, 1984) is a professional skateboarder. Caron is at the forefront of a small group of professional female skaters. She began skateboarding at the age of 12, and is currently sponsored by Meow Skateboards. Caron has stood on the X Games podium in the bronze-medal position three times—2003 in Park and 2007 and 2008 in Street. She is co-founder of the skateboarding magazine, Bigfoot Skateboard Magazine, along with co-founder and fellow skateboarder Meghan McGuire. Caron is heavily featured on the skate DVD AKA: Girl Skater. It features footage of her 1st place win at the Gallaz Skate Jam in Australia. She is also featured in the renowned female skate DVD Getting Nowhere Faster.
Steve Caballero (born November 8, 1964) is an American professional skateboarder and musician. Caballero is known for the difficult tricks and air variations he invented for vertical skating and for setting the long-standing record for the highest air achieved on a halfpipe. Robert Lance Mountain is a professional skateboarder and artist who was one of the prominent skateboarders throughout the 1980s, primarily due to his involvement with the Bones Brigade. As of March 2013, Mountain continues to skate professionally and his sponsors include Flip and Nike SB.
Leo Baker (born November 24, 1991) is a goofy-footed American professional skateboarder. Baker is transgender and non-binary, and uses he/him and they/them pronouns.
