Teresa Mary Palmer (born 26 February 1986) is an Australian actress. She began her career with roles in Bedtime Stories (2008), The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010), Take Me Home Tonight (2011), and I Am Number Four (2011). She received further recognition for starring in the films Warm Bodies (2013), Lights Out (2016), Hacksaw Ridge (2016), and Berlin Syndrome (2017). She also starred in, co-wrote, and co-produced the drama film The Ever After (2014), with her husband Mark Webber. From 2018 to 2022, Palmer starred as Diana Bishop in the supernatural drama series A Discovery of Witches.
Gary Sweet (born 22 May 1957 in Melbourne) is an Australian film and television actor known for his roles in Alexandra's Project (2003), Police Rescue, Cody, Big Sky, The Battlers, Bodyline and Stingers. He grew up in Warradale, South Australia and attended Brighton high school in Adelaide. He later obtained a teaching degree and whilst at Sturt Teachers' College took up drama. His first role was in low-budget horror film Nightmares. In the early 1980s, Sweet became recognizable through the on-going role of Leslie 'Magpie' Maddern in the Crawfords television series The Sullivans. Samuel was born in Hamilton, Victoria, the son of Maree and Clifford Samuel. He grew up in Adelaide, South Australia and graduated from Rostrevor College in 2001. He has a younger brother, Benedict, a writer, producer and actor, as well as an older sister, Bridget, a stage manager. Despite completing his senior secondary years at Rostrevor College, Samuel undertook final year drama at Christian Brothers College under the tutelage of Amanda Portus, where he played the part of Tom Snout (the wall) in Rostrevor College's production ofShakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream as well as playing "Belvile" in CBC's production of Aphra Behn's The Rover (The Banished Cavaliers). Xavier Samuel later attended Flinders University Drama Centre in 2005, where he studied under renowned acting teacher Professor Julie Holledge. He played Hamlet in the graduate production.
