One for the Road follows Jimmy, Paul, Richard and Mark who meet on a rehabilitation course for drink drivers. Jimmy is young, ambitious and desperate to sell his late father's business; Paul has been salesman of the year three times running, however, that was five years ago; Richard is a retired millionaire property developer and Mark is a taxi driver with a weakness for weed and philosophy.

Hywel Bennett
Hywel Bennett (1944-2017) was a Welsh film and television actor best known for the trio of films he made in the '60s and '70s with Hayley Mills, and for his starring role in ITV's long running sitcom Shelley.
ulie Legrand (born in Pitlochry, Scotland) is a British television, film, and stage actress best known for her role as Jeanette Dunkley on Footballers' Wives. She has also guest starred in a wide variety of British television shows, as well as stage productions.
One of her earliest roles was in the Channel 4 comedy drama Hollywood Hits Chiswick, alongside Derek Newark as W.C. Fields. Her subsequent television career has been extensive, including appearances in Anglo-Saxon Attitudes. Kavanagh QC and Holby City.
Along with her television work, Legrand has had numerous successes within theatre, most recently in See How They Run and has also starred in Fiddler on the Roof in the West End at The Savoy theatre and as the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz, along with the films One for the Road, Prick Up Your Ears, and Water. She also toured Britain in the RSC's Romeo and Juliet as The Nurse. She played the role of Madame Morrible in the West End production of Wicked. She began performances on 29 March 2010, replacing Harriet Thorpe. After a lengthy run, Legrand exited the show on 27 October 2012, and was replaced by Louise Plowright on Oct. 29, 2012. in 2014-2015 Legrand portrayed Electra in Gypsy at the Chichester Festival Theatre and the subsequent transfer to the Savoy Theatre in London. In 2016 Legrand played Mrs. Malaprop in Sheridan's The Rivals in Bristol and Glasgow.
Joseph Maxwell Dempsie (born 22 June 1987) is an English actor, best known for his roles as Chris Miles in the E4 teen comedy-drama Skins (2007–2008) and Gendry Baratheon in Game of Thrones (2011–2013; 2017–2019).
Dempsie's earlier acting credits include the medical dramas Peak Practice (2000), Doctors (2001–2003), and Sweet Medicine (2003), as well as the films One for the Road and Heartlands (2003). He also appeared in This is England '86 (2010) and This is England '90 (2015), Born and Bred, a BBC documentary-drama about Tony Martin, and as the villainous John in The Fades (2011).
