Since a bitter winter storm stole the life of Gerda's mother, she and her father have sadly continued to run the remote hotel they call home. Lonely and isolated, Gerda's only joy is Kai, the handsome bellboy. A mysterious guest with an icy stare arrives at the hotel one night, wrapped in fur and diamonds. Duncan Fraser is a British-born Canadian actor. He is most noted for his performance in the 1985 film Overnight, for which he was a Genie Award nominee for Best Supporting Actor at the 7th Genie Awards in 1986, and his regular role as Staff Sgt. Regan in Da Vinci's Inquest, for which he was a Gemini Award nominee for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at the 15th Gemini Awards in 2000.
Born in Manchester, England, Fraser planned to study aeronautical engineering at London University, but switched to psychology after finding engineering too technical and mathematical. Following university he travelled around the world for a number of years, before settling in the Vancouver area in 1974 and working as an actor. He spent a number of years as director of the Nanaimo Theatre Festival, and as associate director of Vancouver's Fend Players theatre company.
Fraser was also known for his regular television roles as Zack Denny in Bordertown, Mac McDougall in The Heights, Colonel Munro in Hawkeye, and Brian Brewster in Hope Island.

Mark Acheson (born September 19, 1957) is a Canadian film, television and voice actor.
At 15 Acheson began studying acting at Langara College’s Studio 58. Founding member of Janus Theatre and appeared on stage for eight years including a full season at the Arts Club as well as The NewPlay center, Carousel Theatre, Western Canadian theater in Kamloops,Sunshine theatre in Kelowna and The Belfry in Victoria and StageWest in Edmonton. In his 30s he started an extensive career in film and television, mostly in supporting roles. Some of his most notable roles are the Mailroom Guy in Elf and Mr. Tripoli in Fargo. His other film credits include The 13th Warrior and Watchmen.
Acheson has also amassed a large body of work in voice acting, where he tends to be cast as villains. He voiced the characters of Lord Tirek from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Sabretooth from Hulk Vs. Wolverine, and has provided the voice of many characters in the TV show Transformers.

Dan Payne (born August 4, 1972) is a Canadian actor best known for playing the role of John in the television series Alice, I Think.
Among his numerous television appearances was in an advertisement for Speakeasy from Esat Digifone, an Irish mobile phone operator now owned by O2.
He also played the part of the Kull Warriors in Stargate SG-1, and the Wraith king in the Stargate Atlantis episode Sateda. Recently, Payne appeared as Nathan Davidson, a married, sexually-repressed father in Mulligans, and also as Dollar Bill in Watchmen.
He is currently in development on a new television series entitled "Pucked" to be launched on the web. He is playing the lead role of Andy Zirkor. An internet campaign to promote the series has been started with an Andy Zirkor facebook page where fans can interact and be a part of Andy's world.
Dan is also starring as "Divine" in a the web based television series Divine: The Series. The Vancouver, BC, Canada based project is set to be released in 2011.
