Arthur Christopher Orme Plummer CC (December 13, 1929 - February 5, 2021) was a Canadian theatre, film and television actor. He made his film debut in 1958's Stage Struck, and notable film performances include The Night of the Generals, The Return of the Pink Panther, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, The Man Who Would Be King, and The Insider. In a career that spans seven decades and includes substantial roles in each of the dramatic arts, Plummer is probably best known to film audiences as the autocratic widower Captain Georg Johannes von Trapp in the hit 1965 musical film The Sound of Music alongside Julie Andrews. Plummer has also ventured into various television projects, including the legendary miniseries The Thorn Birds.
In the 21st century, his film roles include The Insider as Mike Wallace, Inside Man with Denzel Washington, the Disney–Pixar 2009 film Up as Charles Muntz, the Shane Acker production 9 as '1', The Last Station as Leo Tolstoy, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus as Doctor Parnassus, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as Henrik Vanger, and Beginners as Hal.
Plummer has won numerous awards and accolades for his work, including an Academy Award, two Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a SAG Award, and a BAFTA Award. With his win at the age of 82 in 2012 for Beginners, Plummer is the oldest actor and person ever to win an Academy Award.
On February 5, 2021, Plummer died at his home in Weston, Connecticut, aged 91, after suffering complications from a fall. His family released a statement announcing that Plummer had "died peacefully at his home in Connecticut with his wife Elaine Taylor at his side".

An English actor who came to prominence in the early 1960s with a succession of films including The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner (1962), Billy Liar (1963), and Dr. Zhivago (1965). Since the mid-1960s he has been known primarily for his work in the theatre. Courtenay received a knighthood in February 2001 for forty years' service to cinema and theatre. Courtenay is the President of Hull City A.F.C.'s Official Supporters Club. In 1999, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Hull University.

Kevin McKidd (born 9 August 1973) is a Scottish television and film actor and director. He is known for his prominent television roles, including his performances as Lucius Vorenus in Rome, as Poseidon in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, and as Dr. Owen Hunt in Grey's Anatomy.

Edward Charles Morice Fox (born 13 April 1937) is an English stage, film and television actor. He is the older brother of actor James Fox.
He played the part of the professional assassin who is hired to assassinate the French president Charles de Gaulle in the film The Day of the Jackal (1973). He is also known for his roles in Battle of Britain (1969), The Go-Between (1971), for which he won a BAFTA award, and The Bounty (1984). He also collaborated with director Richard Attenborough, appearing in his films Oh! What a Lovely War (1969), A Bridge Too Far (1977), and Gandhi (1982).
He portrayed Edward VIII in the British television drama series Edward & Mrs. Simpson (1978) and appeared in the historical series Taboo (2017). In addition to film and television work, he has also garnered acclaim as a stage actor.
In 2003, Fox was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for his services to Drama.

John Barry Humphries, AO, CBE (17 February 1934 - 22 April 2023) was an Australian comedian, satirist, dadaist, artist, author and character actor, perhaps best known for his on-stage and television alter egos Dame Edna Everage, a Melbourne housewife and "gigastar", and Sir Les Patterson, Australia's foul-mouthed cultural attaché to the Court of St. James's.
He was a film producer and script writer, a star of London's West End musical theatre, an award-winning writer and an accomplished landscape painter. For his delivery of dadaist and absurdist humour to millions, biographer Anne Pender described Humphries in 2010 as not only the most significant theatrical figure of our time … [but] the most significant comedian to emerge since Charlie Chaplin. Humphries' characters, especially Dame Edna Everage, have brought him international renown, and he had appeared in numerous films, stage productions and television shows. Originally conceived as a dowdy Moonee Ponds housewife who caricatured Australian suburban complacency and insularity, Edna had evolved over four decades to become a satire of stardom, the gaudily dressed, acid-tongued, egomaniacal, internationally feted Housewife Gigastar, Dame Edna Everage. Humphries' other major satirical character creation was the archetypal Australian bloke Barry McKenzie, who originated as the hero of a comic strip about Australians in London (with drawings by Nicholas Garland) which was first published in Private Eye magazine.
The stories about "Bazza" (Humphries' nickname, as well as an Australian term of endearment for the name Barry) gave wide circulation to Australian slang, particularly jokes about drinking and its consequences (much of which was invented by Humphries), and the character went on to feature in two Australian films, in which he was portrayed by Barry Crocker. Eileen Walsh is an Irish film, TV and stage actress. Born on 16 April 1977 in Cork, she initially did not want to be an actress, but soon followed in her elder sister Catherine's footsteps. She earned rave reviews for her performance as Runt in the original stage production of Disco Pigs and gained her first film lead with the titular role in 1999's Janice Beard 45 WPM. She also memorably played the tragic Crispina in Peter Mullan's 2002 film The Magdalene Sisters and in 2008 won Best Actress at the Tribeca Film Festival for her portrayal of Breda in the film Eden.

He began his career in the ITV series Where the Heart Is. His stage credits include the premiere production of How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found with Sheffield Theatres. In 2009, Ash played the leading role of "Zakes Abbott" in the British horror film HUSH. Ash also has minor roles in programmes such as Coronation Street and has completed voice-over work for TV advertisements. He also appeared in Heartbeat back in 1992 where he played a cheeky school boy for one episode. He is currently playing Deputy Headteacher 'Chris Mead' in Waterloo Road. On 12th April 2011, Ash played a young Yuri Gagarin in the BBC Radio 4 Afternoon Play; Titatium, broadcast in honour of the 50th anniversary of the first manned flight into space.

Roger Ashton-Griffiths (born January 19, 1957 in Hemel Hempstead) is a British character actor, screenwriter and film director.
He graduated from Lancaster University (BMus) and the University of East London (MA Fine Art), and began his career as a singer with English National Opera at the London Coliseum.
He has appeared in numerous high-profile films, including Terry Gilliam's The Brothers Grimm and Brazil, A Knight's Tale, Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York, Roman Polanski's Pirates, Peter Greenaway's The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover and Woody Allen's You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.
He has also worked extensively in television, including Margaret and The Tudors (2009).
