Passed over at work and numbed after she witnesses a colleague's murder, security guard Trixie Zurbo takes a relatively easy job at a lakefront casino, working undercover keeping an eye out for pickpockets. Trixie meets an assortment of colorful regulars: Kirk Stans, the casino's lounge act who drinks too much and is a dead-on mimic; Ruby Pearli , a glamorous, young and knowledgeable barfly; and Dex Lang, a raffish ladies' man who pays attention to Trixie in a way that's hard for her to ignore.

Nick Nolte is an American actor, film producer, voice artist, comedian, and former model. He won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for the 1991 film The Prince of Tides. He went on to receive Academy Award nominations for Affliction and Warrior.
Nolte was a model in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In a national magazine advertisement in 1972, he appeared in jeans and an open jean shirt for Clairol's "Summer Blonde" hair lightener sitting on a log next to a blonde Chris O'Connor; and they appeared on the packaging. In 1992, Nolte was named the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine.
Nolte first starred in the television miniseries Rich Man, Poor Man, based on Irwin Shaw's 1970 best-selling novel. Later he appeared in over forty films, playing a wide variety of characters. Diversity of character, trademark athleticism, and gravelly voice are signatures of his career. Brittany Anne Murphy-Monjack (née Bertolotti; November 10, 1977 – December 20, 2009) was an American actress and singer. Born in Atlanta, Murphy moved to Los Angeles as a teenager and pursued a career in acting. Her breakthrough role was as Tai Frasier in Clueless (1995), followed by supporting roles in independent films such as Freeway (1996) and Bongwater (1998). She made her stage debut in a Broadway production of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge in 1997 before appearing as Daisy Randone in Girl, Interrupted (1999) and as Lisa Swenson in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999).
In the 2000s, Murphy appeared in Don't Say a Word (2001) alongside Michael Douglas, and alongside Eminem in 8 Mile (2002), for which she gained critical recognition. Her later roles included Riding in Cars with Boys (2001), Spun (2002), Just Married (2003), Uptown Girls (2003), Sin City (2005), and Happy Feet (2006). Murphy also voiced Luanne Platter on the animated television series King of the Hill (1997–2010). Her final film, Something Wicked, was released in April 2014.
On December 20, 2009, Murphy died under disputed circumstances at the age of 32. The coroner's verdict was pneumonia, exacerbated by anemia and addiction to various prescription medicines.

He started in theatre on Broadway but is well known for his film portrayals of Stonewall Jackson in Gods and Generals (2003), George Pickett in Gettysburg (1993), and his 2009 roles as Colonel Miles Quaritch in Avatar and as Texan lawman Charles Winstead in Public Enemies. Lang was the co-artistic director (along with Carlin Glynn and Lee Grant) of the famed Actor's Studio at its headquarters in New York City from 2004 to 2006.

Mark Acheson (born September 19, 1957) is a Canadian film, television and voice actor.
At 15 Acheson began studying acting at Langara College’s Studio 58. Founding member of Janus Theatre and appeared on stage for eight years including a full season at the Arts Club as well as The NewPlay center, Carousel Theatre, Western Canadian theater in Kamloops,Sunshine theatre in Kelowna and The Belfry in Victoria and StageWest in Edmonton. In his 30s he started an extensive career in film and television, mostly in supporting roles. Some of his most notable roles are the Mailroom Guy in Elf and Mr. Tripoli in Fargo. His other film credits include The 13th Warrior and Watchmen.
Acheson has also amassed a large body of work in voice acting, where he tends to be cast as villains. He voiced the characters of Lord Tirek from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Sabretooth from Hulk Vs. Wolverine, and has provided the voice of many characters in the TV show Transformers.

Jonathon is a well-respected stage actor. He is the co-founder of the Electric Company Theatre in Vancouver, Canada in which he is also the artistic director, playwright and a frequently acts.

At a Q&A after "No Exit", Jonathon Young said that his father often brought him and his sister to watch him act and that this is where his love for theatre began. Terry Chen (born February 3, 1975) is a Canadian movie and television actor.
Chen was born to ethnic Chinese parents originating from China and Taiwan in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. After an education at schools in his hometown and in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, he attended college in Calgary and studied at the University of Calgary. He traveled for two years, first to the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean, and then returned to Vancouver in order to pursue acting. He currently lives in the city and periodically resides in Los Angeles in California, for additional film and television work.
Chen was cast as real-life Rolling Stone editor Ben Fong-Torres in the 2000 Cameron Crowe film, Almost Famous, and it became his breakout role. He has since appeared in Steven Spielberg's Emmy Award-winning science fiction TV miniseries Taken and in the films I, Robot, The Chronicles of Riddick, and Snakes on a Plane along with several television shows.
