Turner became widely known during the 1980s, with roles in Body Heat (1981), The Man with Two Brains (1983), Crimes of Passion (1984), Romancing the Stone (1984), and Prizzi's Honor (1985), the latter two earning her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, and Peggy Sue Got Married (1986), for which she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Brent Briscoe (May 21, 1961 – October 18, 2017) was an American actor and screenwriter. Briscoe was born in Moberly, Missouri. After finishing his education at the University of Missouri, Briscoe launched his career as a theater actor. He then segued into screenwriting and acting in feature films. He moved to Los Angeles permanently after working with Billy Bob Thornton on Sling Blade and the two frequently collaborated in the subsequent years. He also frequently worked with Mark Fauser, his college roommate.

He starred on the show until 1997, moving to Los Angeles in the meantime. From 1998 through 1999 he also had a recurring role in The WB television series Charmed as Josh, the love interest of Piper Halliwell, played by Holly Marie Combs.
