Across the Line (2000) is a truthful representation of both hope and corruption, focusing on critical events transpiring at America's border with Mexico and known both to those who live on the "line" (physical and metaphorical) and to those with the courage to cross it. Further it is a fine example of the filmmaker's art, featuring convincing portrayals underpinned by a convincing script and the directorial talent of Martin Spottl.

Brad Johnson
An American actor and former Marlboro Man. Johnson's first acting credit was in the low-budget biker film The Nam Angels (1989), and shortly after he had his first co-starring role in a major film when he played the role of Ted Baker in the 1989 film Always, directed by Steven Spielberg. His other movie credits include Flight of the Intruder, Philadelphia Experiment II, Copperhead and Supergator. He also played the role of Rayford Steele in the Left Behind film series, and played Dr. Dominick O'Malley on Melrose Place. In 2001, he played a hired killer who tangled with Tom Selleck's Rafe Covington character in Turner Network Television's Crossfire Trail. He has six daughters and four sons.
Johnson died in February 2022 after complications from Covid.

Barbeau came to prominence in the 1970s as Broadway's original Rizzo in the musical Grease, and as Carol Traynor, the divorced daughter of Maude Findlay (played by Beatrice Arthur) in the sitcom Maude. In the early 1980s Barbeau was a sex symbol, starring in several horror and science fiction films, including The Fog, Creepshow, Swamp Thing, and Escape from New York. During the 1990s, she became known for providing the voice of Catwoman on Batman: The Animated Series and subsequent Batman cartoon series. In the 2000s, she appeared in the HBO series Carnivàle as Ruthie the snake dancer.
Brian Keith Bloom is an American actor, voice actor, and screenwriter. Bloom was born in Merrick, New York, the brother of producer/actor Scott Bloom and musician Mike Bloom. Bloom had an early interest in acting, including appearing in several commercials as a child, but made his big break in the Sergio Leone film Once Upon a Time in America. From there, he was offered the role of Dusty Donovan in the hit soap opera As the World Turns, which he played for several years. During that run, Bloom became the youngest winner of a Daytime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Young Leading Man during the 12th Daytime Emmy Awards show for his performance on the series. Despite his success, he soon grew tired of the scheduling involved in that field and eventually left the series to star in several television movies and myriad guest appearances.

Tony Perez (born 1935) is a film and television actor. Perez was born in Portsmouth, Virginia. He is best known for portraying Officer Mike Perez on Hill Street Blues from 1981 to 1985.

Luis Contreras (September 18, 1950 – June 20, 2004) was an American character actor. The son of actor Roberto Contreras, his film debut was in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Contreras appeared in multiple movies for director Walter Hill: The Long Riders, 48 Hrs., Extreme Prejudice, Red Heat, Geronimo: An American Legend, and Last Man Standing. He will forever be known as Biker #2 (the biker with an eye patch) who suggests his gang, Satan's Helpers, stab, tattoo, hang, and then kill Pee-Wee Herman after he knocks over all their motorcycles outside the biker bar. Later, Biker #2 wishes Pee-wee good luck in finding his bike after he impresses them with his dancing. Contreras died of cancer in 2004 at 53.
Born in Panama City, Panama, Carlos traveled to the United States on an acting scholarship to Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. After subsequent study at the University of Illinois and Wayne State University in Detroit, he began his professional career in New York, making his Broadway debut in the Circle-in-the-Square's production of "The National Health." Marshall R. Teague (born April 1953) is an American film and television actor. He is known for his role in the 1989 cult movie Road House and for his recurring role on the 1990s hit science fiction series Babylon 5 as a Narn named Ta'Lon. Teague has also starred in the 1996 film The Rock and the 1998 movie Armageddon.
He played Black Jack Pershing in the film Rough Riders.
Teague's other TV appearances included Walker, Texas Ranger where he has made some guest appearances as different characters. He (as a different character) was Walker's first nemesis & last in the final showdown. He made a guest appearance on Babylon 5 as a human in the Season One episode "Infection" and made a guest appearance on the Babylon 5 spinoff Crusade as Captain Daniels in the episode "The Long Road". He has had some regular roles on television in the soap opera Days of our Lives as Leonard Stacy in 1984. He starred on the 1980s HBO series 1st & Ten as Mac Petty in 1984.
Teague has made guest appearances on many TV shows, some of those appearances range from Stargate SG-1, The Fall Guy, Knight Rider, She Spies, The A-Team, Sliders, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in the season 4 episode "Hippocratic Oath" and on Star Trek: Voyager in the season 3 episode "Distant Origin".
In the video game industry, he is known as the voice of Krunk in the video game Crash Nitro Kart.

Thomas Rosales Jr. (born 3 February 1948) is an American stunt man who has appeared in more than one hundred and fifty movies. His first known appearance as a stuntman was in Battle for the Planet of the Apes in 1973. Rosales is arguably one of Hollywood's most recognizable stunt performers due to speaking roles, including ones where a film's protagonist wounds or kills him. His filmography includes RoboCop 2, The Crow, Tremors 2: Aftershocks, Universal Soldier, Predator 2, L. A. Confidential, Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment, U. S. Marshals, Deep Impact, The Running Man, The Hunter, Beverly Hills Cop III, Jurassic Park: The Lost World, Speed, and NCIS.
