Al Goldstein was an actor, producer, publisher, and First-Amendment Rights activist from Brooklyn, New York. Best known as the publisher of Screw magazine, a sleezy porn magazine filled with sex acts and toilet humor, Screw also contained some surprisingly smart, sharp-witted political commentary - though usually expressed in the crudest way possible. Goldstein was also involved in the production of some early NYC-based porn movies in the 1970s and early 80s, and later was among a group fighting in court for First Amendment protections.
Bunny Bleu has had two careers with two different looks in two different eras of porn. She started out in the early 1980s as a bleached blond, petite and almost underage-looking. She was featured with many of the legends of the day, such as Traci Lords and Christy Canyon, and left the business for a while. She came back in the early 1990s with new reddish brown hair (her natural color) and "enhanced" features, but still with the same enthusiasm, energy and willingness to do whatever was called for that made her one of the top draws in her early days.

Ilona Staller (born 26 November 1951), widely known by her stage name, Cicciolina, is a Hungarian-born Italian porn star, politician, and singer. Staller continued to make hardcore pornographic films while a member of parliament. She is famous for delivering political speeches with one breast exposed. Naturalized by marriage and settled in Italy, Staller met pornographer Riccardo Schicchi in the early 1970s, and, beginning in 1973, achieved fame with a radio show called “Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?” on Radio Luna. For that program she adopted the name Cicciolina. She referred to her male fanbase, and later the male members of the Italian parliament, as “cicciolini”, translating loosely as “little tubby boys.” Although she appeared in several films from 1970, she made her debut under her own name in 1975 with “La liceale” (aka The Teasers) playing a lesbian classmate of Gloria Guida. In 1978, on the RAI show “C'era due volte,” her breasts were the first to be bared live on Italian TV. Staller appeared in her first hardcore pornographic film, “Telefono rosso” (Red Telephone) in 1983. She produced the film together with Schicchi's company Diva Futura. Her memoirs were published as “Confessioni erotiche di Cicciolina,” which translates as Erotic Confessions of Cicciolina, by the Olympia Press of Milan in 1987. That same year she appeared in “Carne bollente,” called The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empress in the United States, co-starring John Holmes. The film would later create a furor when it was revealed that Holmes had tested positive for HIV prior to appearing in it. Staller has appeared nude in Playboy's editions in several countries. Her first Playboy appearance was in Argentina in March 1988. Other appearances for the magazine were in the USA (September 1990), Hungary (June 2005), Serbia (July 2005) and Mexico (September 2005). In 1994, she appeared in the film Replikator and, in 1996, she had a role in the Brazilian soap opera Xica da Silva, as Princess Ludovica di Castelgandolfo di Genova. In 2008, she was a contestant on the Argentine version of Strictly Come Dancing named “Bailando por un sueño.”
John Leslie Nuzzo (January 25, 1945 – December 5, 2010) was a prolific porn actor who went on to have a long-running career as a producer and director of adult movies. Usually credited under the name John Leslie, he has also worked under a variety of pseudonyms, including John Leslie Dupre, Frederick Watson, and Lenny Lovely.
Beginning with 1973's 'Sensuous Delights', Leslie was a performer in almost 300 adult films. He won numerous awards during his days as a performer. He appeared with some of the era's most noted porn stars, including Seka, Kay Parker, and Annette Haven. His most noteworthy roles were in 'Talk Dirty To Me' (1980), 'Nothing To Hide' (1981), and 'Talk Dirty To Me, Part II' (1982). He was one of the first porn actors to make the transition from performing to directing, beginning with 1987's 'Nightshift Nurses'. Since then he directed more than 90 adult movies, including 'The Chameleon' (1989), 'Curse of the Catwoman' (1992), 'Dog Walker' (1994), and 'Drop Sex' (1997), along with the 'Voyeur', 'Fresh Meat' and 'Crack Her Jack' series. He won many awards for his work behind the cameras as well. Though much of his recent work, in keeping with current trends in adult video, has been in the gonzo genre, such as the 'Fresh Meat' and 'Crack Her Jack' series, Leslie has continued to make feature films, or 'sex dramas'; most recently, in 2007 he directed the film 'Brianna Love, Her Fine, Sexy Self'.
In the early 1970s, he was a vocalist and harmonica player for the 'The Brooklyn Blues Busters', a southeastern Michigan-based musical group sometimes accompanying John Lee Hooker. 'The Brooklyn Blues Busters' were the backing band for Victoria Spivey during the 1973 Ann Arbor Blues and Jazz Festival. Nuzzo also worked as a bartender in the early 1970s at Mr. Flood's Party, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was a member of the AVN, Legends of Erotica and XRCO Halls of Fame. John Leslie died on December 5, 2010, from a heart attack, at his home in Mill Valley, California at the age of 65.

Natividad was born in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, the eldest of nine children, and did not speak English until she was 10. At that time, her mother married a U.S. citizen and they moved to Texas. Natividad attended high school in El Paso, where she was her senior class president. After moving to California, she worked as a maid and cook for Stella Stevens and as a key-punch operator for IBM before turning to go-go dancing to make ends meet. Her stage name Kitten came from her shyness. At age 21, she had her first breast implant surgery in Tijuana (where it was legal) on the advice of her agent. Kitten Natividad was introduced to Russ Meyer by fellow dancer Shari Eubank, a performer in Meyer's 1975 film Supervixens. Meyer hired her to narrate his movie Up!, where she was shown sitting nude in a tree, quoting the poetry of Hilda Doolittle and acting as a Greek chorus to the nonsensical action. Meyer was so impressed he wanted her to star in his next feature, Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens, one of several collaborations between Meyer and film critic Roger Ebert. He paid for a second breast enhancement and voice lessons to eliminate her accent. She left her husband for Meyer during the filming, and they lived together as a couple for most of the next 15 years. After this, Natividad moved into pornographic modeling, mainly doing glamour or girl-girl shoots with the likes of Candy Samples, Uschi Digard, and Patty Plenty. The appearances increased her dancing income many times over. She incorporated a giant champagne glass into her act (similar to Lili St. Cyr), accompanied by the Bobby Darin hit "Splish Splash." She appeared as a guest on The Dating Game, one of a number of game shows that Chuck Barris produced. During the 1980s, Natividad began appearing in pornographic productions, initially limiting her performances to appearing topless. Eventually, however, she graduated to engaging in hardcore performances, usually with younger men and women. She also founded the private photo and video studio Kitten Klub. She famously appeared as a stripper at the bachelor party held by Sean Penn to celebrate his 1985 marriage to Madonna. In 2001, Natividad starred in the cult film comedy The Double-D Avenger, directed by William Winckler, and in it, she was reunited with fellow Russ Meyer stars, actress Haji from Russ Meyer's Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! and Raven De La Croix from Russ Meyer's film Up! In The Double-D Avenger, Kitten Natividad plays Chastity Knott, a woman who becomes a busty costumed crime fighter
Misty Dawn (born May 15, 1963) is a former adult industry performer. Dawn acted in pornographic films and videos, and was an exotic dancer. Paul Thomas Anderson (born June 26, 1970) is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. Born in Los Angeles, Anderson developed an interest in filmmaking from a young age. An alumnus of the Sundance Institute, Anderson is famous for making often epic psychological drama films which often take place in San Fernando Valley and deal with characters seeking after redemption, forgiveness or loss; they also use wide framing as well as realistic or gritty cinematography. Anderson made his feature film debut with Hard Eight (1996). He found critical and commercial success with Boogie Nights (1997), set in the Golden Age of Porn, and received further accolades with Magnolia (1999), an ensemble piece set in the San Fernando Valley, and Punch-Drunk Love (2002), a romantic comedy-drama film.
Anderson's 2007 film There Will Be Blood, about an oil prospector during the Southern California oil boom, achieved major critical and commercial success and was often cited as one of the greatest films of the 2000s. This was followed by The Master (2012) and Inherent Vice (2014). Anderson's eighth film, Phantom Thread, was released in 2017. He has directed music videos for artists including Fiona Apple, Radiohead, Haim, Joanna Newsom, Aimee Mann, Jon Brion and Michael Penn, and has also directed a documentary, Junun (2015), about the making of the album in India. More recently, he directed a short film accompanying Thom Yorke's Anima (2019), released on Netflix and in select IMAX theatres.
Anderson's films are often characterized by their depiction of flawed and desperate characters, explorations of themes such as dysfunctional families, alienation and loneliness, a bold visual style that uses moving camera and long takes, and memorable use of music. He is noted for his frequent collaborations with actors Philip Baker Hall, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Julianne Moore, Melora Walters, John C. Reilly, Joaquin Phoenix and Daniel Day-Lewis, cinematographer Robert Elswit, costume designer Mark Bridges, and composers Jon Brion and Jonny Greenwood. His films have consistently garnered critical acclaim. Anderson has been nominated for eight Academy Awards, one Golden Globe Award and five BAFTA Awards, and has won a Best Director Award at Cannes, both Golden and a Silver Bear at Berlin and a Silver Lion at Venice.
