In the small Southern community of Twin Pines, GA, lives Noah Dearborn, a master craftsman and farmer who cherishes his solitude almost as much as the local townspeople cherish him — especially restaurant owner Sarah McClellan. Sidney Poitier
Sidney Poitier KBE (February 20, 1927 – January 6, 2022) was a Bahamian and American actor, film director, and diplomat. In 1964, he was the first black actor and first Bahamian to win the Academy Award for Best Actor. He received two competitive Golden Globe Awards, a competitive British Academy of Film and Television Arts award (BAFTA), and a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album. Poitier was one of the last major stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema.

George Young Newbern (born December 10, 1964) is an American television and film actor best known for his roles as Bryan MacKenzie in Father of the Bride (1991) and its sequel Father of the Bride Part II as well as Danny (The Yeti) in Friends. He is also well known for his role as Superman from the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited animated series as well as Sephiroth from the Final Fantasy series and the Kingdom Hearts series. Also, he is known for appearing in the recent Saw VI. He married actress Marietta DePrima in 1990, and together have three children - Emma, Mae, and Ben.

Bernard Terry "Bernie" Casey (June 8, 1939 – September 19, 2017) was a renowned professional actor who initially had a stellar career as an interscholastic, intercollegiate and professional football player. Casey was also a record-breaking track and field athlete for Bowling Green State University. As one of the nation's best high-hurdlers; Casey earned All-America recognition and a trip to the finals at the 1960 United States Olympic Trials. In addition to national honors, Bernie Casey won three consecutive Mid-American Conference titles in the high-hurdles, 1958-60.

Frances Evelyn Bay (née Goffman; January 23, 1919 – September 15, 2011) was a Canadian-American character actress known for playing a variety of quirky elderly women on film and television. In a career that spanned 35 years, she acted in a variety of roles both in film and television. After initial success in radio and stage plays, she became "The Girlfriend to the Canadian Forces" on CBC Radio during World War II, boosting troops' spirits. Marriage and a move to the U.S. led to a hiatus, during which she studied acting with Uta Hagen in New York. Returning to acting at 60, Bay featured in Foul Play and gained recognition in various TV shows like Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet, and films such as The Wedding Planner and Twins. Her versatile career spanned over 50 films and numerous TV series, earning her awards and nominations. Notably, she appeared in the final episodes of sitcoms Seinfeld, Who’s the Boss?, and Happy Days. Bay was inducted in Canada's Walk of Fame in 2008.
Sharon Blackwood was reared in the small town of Greensboro, Georgia. This upbringing served her well in her first television guest roles, on I'll Fly Away and In the Heat of the Night. She has been fortunate to work opposite Sidney Poitier, Kenneth Branagh, Ellen Burstyn, Tom Wilkinson, Joel Edgerton, Ruth Negga, Jason Bateman and Diane Keaton. Her feature films include Robert Zemeckis' "Flight" and Boaz Yakin's , "Remember the Titans" both starring Denzel Washington; Ross Katz's The Choice; Gregory Jacobs' Magic Mike XXL; Andy Tennant's Sweet Home Alabama. She also appeared in Terence Davies' The Neon Bible and as Lola Loving in "Loving", both of which were nominated for the Palm D'or at the Cannes Film Festival.
Ms. Blackwood began her acting career in the theatre. Beginning with the role of Ada in "Tobacco Road", she then did very diverse characters including Aunt Julia in "Hedda Gabler", Woman (Veronica) in "Veronica's Room" as well as performing in the musical "Side by Side by Sondheim. She received Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from West Georgia College, where she studied voice with Metropolitan Opera Soprano Inge Manski-Lundeen; with whom she studied throughout her career. Her favorite operatic roles include Dorabella in Cosi Fan Tutte and Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors. She continues as an Oratorio soloist in Atlanta, Ga.
Ms. Blackwood is a former Vice President of the League of Women Voters of Georgia and continues her work with them and other service organizations.
Married to Michael Blackwood for over 45 years, she has two daughters and two grandchildren who have been her support and inspiration throughout her career.
