Al Stanco has lived all of his life in Brooklyn and does some work for the local crime lord, Danny Parente. New to the neighbourhood is Gabriela, a filmmaker shooting a documentary on the real Brooklyn. Al and Gabriela become friendly but the relationship is strained when he discovers her true goal is to expose Parente's criminal activities. When Al sees the evidence Gabriela has uncovered, which implicates Parente in the death of many locals (including Al's own father), he seeks revenge in a dangerous confrontation with his boss.

Maria Grazia Cucinotta (born 27 July 1968) is an Italian actress who has featured in films and television series since 1990. She also worked as a film producer, screenwriter and model. Internationally she is best known for her roles in Il Postino and as the Bond girl, credited as the Cigar Girl, in the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough.
Vincent M. Spano (born October 18, 1962) is an American actor.
Spano was born in Brooklyn, New York to Italian American parents. In 1976, he made his stage debut in a production of The Shadow Box at Long Wharf Theatre and Broadway. His film debut was in 1979's The Double McGuffin.
He has subsequently appeared in many Hollywood films, including John Sayles's Baby, It's You and City of Hope, Francis Ford Coppola's Rumble Fish, Alive: The Miracle of the Andes, The Rats, Over the Edge-1979 and Creator. In the 1983 family favorite The Black Stallion Returns, he played a handsome, young, Arabic rider, Raj, that returns home from university to compete in a major horse race and befriends an American boy, Alec Ramsey (played by Kelly Reno) along the way. He also starred in the Italian film Good Morning Babylon written and directed by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, and the 1984 film Alphabet City. He has co-starred with Dylan and Cole Sprouse in A Modern Twain Story: The Prince and the Pauper. He was most recently seen on ION network opposite Lou Diamond Phillips in Lone Rider. But mostly as his recurring role of FBI Agent Dean Porter on the NBC drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit since the 8th season.
He starred in the 2004 TV film "Landslide (Buried Alive)" as a fireman trapped in a collapsed building with his son.

Daniel Louis Aiello Jr. (June 20, 1933 – December 12, 2019) was an American actor who appeared in numerous motion pictures, including The Godfather Part II (1974), The Front (1976), Once Upon a Time in America (1984), The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985), Moonstruck (1987), Harlem Nights (1989), Hudson Hawk (1991), Ruby (1992), Léon: The Professional (1994), 2 Days in the Valley (1996), Dinner Rush (2000), and Lucky Number Slevin (2006). He had a pivotal role in the Spike Lee film Do the Right Thing (1989) as Salvatore "Sal" Frangione, earning a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He played Don Domenico Clericuzio in the miniseries The Last Don (1997).
Tall, dour-faced and slouch-shouldered character actor Abraham Charles Vigoda (February 24, 1921 – January 26, 2016) proved himself in both gritty dramatic roles, and as an actor with wonderful comedic timing.
Vigoda was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Lena (Moses) and Samuel Vigoda, both Russian Jewish immigrants. His father was a tailor on the Lower East Side. He made his first stage appearance at the age of 17 and plodded away in small theater shows for over 20 years. For the majority of film-goers, Vigoda first came to prominence in The Godfather (1972) as the double-crossing Tessio, pleading with Robert Duvall to get him off the hook "for old times' sake." He also appeared in its sequel.
Vigoda had roles in a few nondescript TV films before landing the plum part of Sgt. Phil Fish on the brilliant sitcom Barney Miller (1974). Perhaps his best known role, Sgt. Fish proved popular enough to be spun off to his own (short-lived) series Fish (1977).
With his long face and unusual looks, Vigoda remained in high demand in mafioso-type roles, and for a while in the mid-1980s, he was mistakenly believed to have been dead, leading producers to remark, "I need an Abe Vigoda type actor," not realizing Vigoda was still alive and well. The 1990s and beyond became busy again for him, with appearances in North (1994), The Misery Brothers (1995), A Brooklyn State of Mind (1998), and Crime Spree (2003). He continued acting into his 90s, surprising audiences with his entertaining style.
Abe Vigoda died in his sleep on January 26, 2016 in Woodland Park, New Jersey.

Jennifer Esposito (born April 11, 1973, height 5' 6" (1,68 m)) is an American actress, dancer and model. known for her appearances in films such as I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, Summer of Sam and Crash and in television series such as Spin City and Samantha Who?, and Blue Bloods.
Esposito was born in Brooklyn, New York, the second of two daughters of Phyllis, an interior decorator, and Robert Esposito, a computer consultant and music producer. She is of Italian descent.
Esposito made her first television appearance in Law & Order in 1996. She then joined the cast of Spin City, where she appeared for two seasons. She also appeared in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. One of her more notable roles was as Ruby in Spike Lee's Summer of Sam in 1999, which was set against the late-1970s backdrop of the Son of Sam murders. She originally had the Mira Sorvino role in Summer of Sam, but had to take a different role due to scheduling conflicts. Esposito's next film was Wes Craven Presents: Dracula 2000.
In 2000, Esposito appeared in the Law & Order: SVU episode Remorse as a rape victim. She played Don Cheadle's girlfriend, Ria, in the Academy Award-winning film Crash. Esposito was part of the cast of Related. She also played the part of Jennifer in The Master of Disguise in 2002 and played a Lieutenant in the NYPD in the 2004 film Taxi. She played a love interest to Denis Leary's character in the FX dramedy Rescue Me. Esposito appeared on television as Andrea Belladonna in the ABC comedy, Samantha Who?. She also appeared in the NBC medical drama Mercy.
Esposito joined the cast of Blue Bloods in 2010, during its first season; she plays Detective Jackie Curatola, the partner of Detective Danny Reagan (played by Donnie Wahlberg). In the third season, Esposito entered a dispute with CBS regarding doctor's orders for her to cut back working hours due to her Celiac disease. Rather than work around her limited schedule, CBS chose to replace her character this season. As such, Esposito only appears in six episodes, receiving also starring billing in all of them.
Esposito announced that she had been diagnosed with celiac disease on The Late Show with David Letterman in October 2011, reporting she had been diagnosed "a couple years ago" and had plans to open a gluten-free bakery. In 2012, Esposito opened the bakery in Manhattan's East Village under the name "Jennifer's Way Bakery."
According to Esposito, she collapsed on set while shooting an episode of Blue Bloods, requiring her to miss a week of work, and during the show's th Esposito and CBS reportedly have been at odds over her medical condition and its effect on her availability for work.
Esposito married Bradley Cooper on December 30, 2006. They were divorced in 2007.
In 2009, Esposito became engaged to Australian tennis player Mark Philippoussis. The couple separated in August 2010.
