Stephen John "Steve" Coogan (born October 14, 1965) is an English comedian, actor, writer and producer.
His best known character in the United Kingdom is Alan Partridge, a socially awkward and politically incorrect regional media personality, who featured in several television series, such as The Day Today, Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge and I'm Alan Partridge. Outside the UK, Coogan is better known for his film roles.

Michael John Elphick (19 September 1946 – 7 September 2002) was an English actor. Elphick was known in the UK for his trademark croaky voice and his work on British television, in particular his roles as the eponymous private investigator in the ITV series Boon and later Harry Slater in BBC's EastEnders.
Elphick struggled with a highly publicised addiction to alcohol; at the height of his problem he admitted to consuming two litres of spirits a day, which contributed towards his death from a heart attack in 2002.

Actor and writer Colin Welland will perhaps be forever remembered for his triumph at the 1982 Academy Awards, when he won the Best Screenplay Oscar for his screenplay for the hit film Chariots of Fire, proclaiming "The British are Coming!" As an actor, his first film appearance is perhaps still his best-loved, the sympathetic Mr Farthing in Kes (1969), for which he won a BAFTA. Born in Liverpool, but raised in Leigh, Welland initially started out as an art teacher before moving into acting and becoming a household name playing the role of PC Graham in the long running BBC police serial Z Cars. Aside from Chariots of Fire, he wrote many other plays and films including the BAFTA winning Kisses at Fifty (later remade for Hollywood with Gene Hackman as Twice in a Lifetime), Leeds United! based on the rag trade strike that his own mother-in-law was active in, Yanks, A Dry White Season and War of the Buttons. As a film and TV actor his credits include Kes, Straw Dogs, Blue Remembered Hills, Cowboys and Sweeney! He died at the age of 81 on November 2, 2015, having suffered from Alzheimer's disease for several years.

Christopher Fulford (born 1955 in London) is a British actor who is best known for his supporting roles in many British TV shows.
In his early career he often appeared in British crime dramas. He was guest star of both the ITV crime series Inspector Morse, as a suspect in Driven to Destruction (1990) and as a killer in the early A Touch of Frost episode Widows and Orphans (1994). In 1993, Fulford also starred in the BBC adaptation of Scarlet and Black alongside a virtually unknown Ewan McGregor and Rachel Weisz. He also appeared as a "male vigilante" in Dalziel & Pascoe.
He has featured in the films D-Tox (2002), Millions (2004) and Pierrepoint (2005) and the television dramas The Last Train and Deceit. He has also appeared extensively on British television, appearing in guest roles in episodes of series such as Inspector Morse, Cracker, Prime Suspect, Dalziel and Pascoe, Spooks, Judge John Deed and Waking the Dead. He recently appeared in the ITV1 dramas Whitechapel and Collision, both alongside Phil Davis.
Christopher married actress Camille Coduri in 1992. They have two children, Rosa (born 1993) and Santino (born 1996).

Byrne was born in London, England. Tony Pitts is an actor, screenwriter and playwright. Born in Sheffield, Pitts originally intended to become a physician but ended up working as a car mechanic in his early career. During his time at Stannington College, Sheffield Barry Hines paid a visit looking for extras for his upcoming drama Looks and Smiles. Pitts was cast and soon upgraded to a bigger role in the production. He decided to follow his ambition to become an actor in 1983, landing the role of Archie Brooks in the long running ITV soap Emmerdale. He remained in the show for a total of ten years, when the character was killed off in the infamous plane crash episode of 30th December 1993. Since then, Pitts has worked in TV, film, radio and theatre including War Horse, Lilyhammer and Peaky Blinders. In 2018, Pitts wrote, produced and starred in the film Funny Cow - the story of a female stand up comedian (played by his friend Maxine Peake) on the northern club circuit in the 1970s. In 2021, Pitts and actress Katherine Kelly set up the production company Make Me Films. They released their first short, Let Her Go, in 2022. It was written by Pitts and marked his directorial debut. He is also the host, alongside John Bishop, of the podcast Three Little Words.
