Napoleon has been exiled to Elba, the English have returned from the wars, and Major Richard Sharpe finds himself in a sort of exile to lead a company of Yorkshire Yeomen. His duties include protecting mill owners from restless workers who are on the verge of strike or outright revolt. Meanwhile, Sharpe's faithless wife and her lover fall within range of Sharpe's wrath. Sharpe, with his two of his devoted Chosen Men nearby, must decide whether to continue to protect the mill owners or to take the side of their fiercely downtrodden workers.

Sean Bean
Shaun Mark Bean (born 17 April 1959) is an English actor. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Bean made his professional debut in a theatre production of Romeo and Juliet in 1983. Retaining his Yorkshire accent, he first found mainstream success for his portrayal of Richard Sharpe in the ITV series Sharpe, which originally ran from 1993 to 1997.
Bean's film roles include Patriot Games (1992), GoldenEye (1995), Ronin (1998), Don't Say a Word (2001), The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001–2003), Equilibrium (2002), National Treasure (2004), Troy (2004), Flightplan (2005), North Country (2005), The Island (2005), Silent Hill (2006), Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010), Black Death (2010), Jupiter Ascending (2015), and The Martian (2015).

Caroline Langrishe (born 10 January 1958, London, England) is an English actress.
In 1976, Langrishe appeared in the BBC production of The Glittering Prizes. In 1977 she played the role of Kitty in a BBC adaptation of Anna Karenina. Her first big part was in the 1978 British adaption of Les Misérables. She also starred as Jane Winters in the futuristic BBC Play for Today episode The Flipside of Dominick Hide (1980), and its follow up, Another Flip for Dominick (1982) both by Jeremy Paul and Alan Gibson. She played Janet Hollywell, wife of Fred Hollywell, in the 1984 adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol starring George C. Scott.
She became a leading character actress, taking the female lead in the BBC detective series Pulaski in 1987 and appearing in several episodes of Chancer in 1990. She is perhaps best known for her role as Charlotte Cavendish in the BBC series Lovejoy in which she starred for two series in 1993-94. She later appeared in Sharpe's Regiment (1996) and Sharpe's Justice (1997) as Lady Anne Camoynes. She played Georgina Channing alongside Martin Shaw in drama Judge John Deed and has recently joined BBC medical drama Casualty as executive director Marilyn Fox.
She has also starred in Heartbeat, in the episode "Echoes of the Past", she played a mum-to-be Jane Hayes, who is convinced that her house is haunted when she hears a baby crying goes into the nursery and thinks she hears a ghost. This episode was broadcast on 24 December 1998.
In 2010 she played Ros, an 'older woman' in an open marriage in Pete Versus Life on Channel 4

Philip Haywood Glenister (born 10 February 1963) is an English actor, known for his role as DCI Gene Hunt in British television series Life On Mars and its sequel Ashes To Ashes.
Douglas Henshall was born in Glasgow, Scotland in November 1965. His mother was a nurse and his father a salesman. He is the youngest of three children and has two older sisters. He grew up in Barrhead and attended Barrhead High School. Whilst at school a friend asked him to join The Scottish Youth Theatre based in Glasgow. After leaving school, he moved to London to train at Mountview Theatre School. He returned to Glasgow after training where he joined the 7:84 theater company. Eventually, he went back to live in London where he received critical acclaim for his theater work, notably "Life of Stuff" at the Donmar Warehouse (1993) and "American Buffalo" at the Young Vic (1997).
