Dominic Gerard Francis Eagleton West is an English actor, director, and musician. He is best known for playing Jimmy McNulty in HBO's The Wire (2002–2008), Noah Solloway in Showtime's The Affair (2014–2019), the latter of which earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Drama nomination, Ebenezer Scrooge's nephew Fred in A Christmas Carol (1999, with Patrick Stewart as Scrooge), and Charles, Prince of Wales, in the Netflix drama The Crown (2022–present). West was born in Sheffield, England, in 1969. He is the sixth of seven children born to Irish parents. He studied English literature at Trinity College Dublin and drama at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. West began his acting career in theater, appearing in productions of "Hamlet" and "Oedipus Rex." He made his film debut in 1995 with a small role in the film "The Boxer." West's breakthrough role came in 2002, when he was cast as Jimmy McNulty in the HBO series The Wire. The Wire is considered one of the greatest television shows of all time, and West's performance as McNulty was critically acclaimed. West has since starred in a number of other successful films and television shows, including "300," "The Hour," "The Affair," and "The Crown." He is a versatile actor who is equally comfortable in both dramatic and comedic roles. West is also a talented musician. He plays the guitar and piano, and he has released two albums of his own music.
William Francis Nighy (born 12 December 1949) is an English actor. Known for his work on screen and stage, he has received numerous awards, including two BAFTA Awards, a Golden Globe Award and nominations for an Academy Award and a Tony Award. Nighy started his career with the Everyman Theatre, Liverpool and made his London debut with the Royal National Theatre starting with The Illuminatus! in 1977. There he gained acclaim for his roles in David Hare's Pravda in 1985, Harold Pinter's Betrayal in 1991, Tom Stoppard's Arcadia in 1993, and Anton Chekov's The Seagull in 1994. He received a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor nomination for his performance in Blue/Orange in 2001. He made his Broadway debut in Hare's The Vertical Hour in 2006, and returned in the 2015 revival of Hare's Skylight earning a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play nomination. Early film roles include in the comedies Still Crazy (1998), and Blow Dry (1999) before his breakout role in Love Actually (2003) which earned him a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor. He soon gained recognition portraying Davy Jones in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series (2006-2007), and Viktor in the Underworld film series (2003-2009). Other films include Shaun of the Dead (2004), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005), The Constant Gardener (2005), Notes on a Scandal (2006), Hot Fuzz (2007), Valkyrie (2008), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010), The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2012), About Time (2013), Emma (2020), and Living (2022), the last of these earning him his first career Academy Award nomination. Nighy has gained acclaim for his roles in television earning a British Academy Television Award for Best Actor for his performance in BBC One series State of Play (2003), and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for the BBC film Gideon's Daughter (2007). He's also known for his roles in HBO's The Girl in the Café (2006) and PBS's Page Eight (2012).

The same year, he was cast in the recurring role of Dr. Alex Taylor in the ITV drama series Medics. After continuing in various British television productions for some years, Atterton began working in the U.S. in the late 1990s. He had a role in the 1998 remake of The Man In The Iron Mask, and also starred in the WB's short-lived spy series Three. Following this, he had appearances in several cult sci-fi/fantasy productions including Alias, Firefly, and Charmed. He also played Duncan Idaho in the Sci-Fi Channel's adaptation of Children of Dune in 2003. Over his career, Josh Lucas has worked with many of the film community's greatest talents. Lucas recently completed his second collaboration with documentary filmmaker Ken Burns on "The War" (2007). Lucas' other documentary work includes the upcoming Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience (2007), Trumbo (2007), and Resolved (2007). Lucas recently completed his first venture into production with Stolen Lives (2009), in which he plays the single father of a mentally challenged boy.
