Guiry was born in Trenton, New Jersey and attended St. Gregory the Great school in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey from kindergarten through eighth grade, and then high school at Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. His most notable appearances were in The Sandlot, Mystic River, The Mudge Boy, and The Four Diamonds. Guiry played Jimmy Donnelly on the NBC drama The Black Donnellys. John B. Sterling is an American sportscaster, best known as the radio play-by-play announcer of Major League Baseball's New York Yankees. Sterling called 5,060 consecutive Yankees games, beginning in 1989, before taking a four-game break in July 2019. He has also commentated in films including The Slugger's Wife (1985), The Scout (1994), The Last Home Run (1996), and For Love of the Game (1999).
