While attempting to flee from the FBI, the criminal Frank Dallio kills Detective McKenna's wife, Rachel. McKenna himself is shot in the face by the professional killer Lyle Mason, who dies in a car crash shortly thereafter. The FBI persuades McKenna to undergo facial surgery and take the place of Lyle Mason in order to find Dallio and a valuable microchip.

Lorenzo de Santos-Lamas (born January 20, 1958) is an American-Argentinian actor and reality television participant. Lamas is known for playing Lance Cumson, the irresponsible grandson of Angela Channing (played by Jane Wyman) on the popular 1980s soap opera Falcon Crest, Reno Raines on the 1990s crime drama Renegade, and Hector Ramirez on the daytime soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful. Lamas also served as a judge on ABC television's short-lived reality show Are You Hot?. Presently, he stars in his own reality show, Leave it to Lamas, a series about his real-life family.

Thomas Cavanagh is a Canadian film and television actor. He was born on October 26th, 1963 in Ottawa, Ontario, the second-oldest of five children. His close-knit family moved to Ghana, West Africa when Tom was six. His father educated teachers there. The family moved back to Canada before Tom started high school (which he attended in southern Quebec). Tom went to Queens University in Kingston, Ontario where he played on the basketball team and graduated with degrees in English, Biology, and Education. His interest in theater grew when he was cast as the lead Danny Zuko in a Canadian "Grease". In his spare time he likes to play guitar and participate in a variety of sports.

He has acted on three aviation movies: Falling from the Sky: Flight 174 with William Devane,Final Descent with Robert Urich and Snakes on a Plane with Samuel L. Jackson. He had a supporting role to Roger Moore and Nancy Allen in Bill Condon'sThe Man Who Wouldn't Die (1995). McNulty also appeared in the 2009 remake of The Uninvited where he worked alongside A Series of Unfortunate Events' Emily Browning. Michael Ballew was an American actor, stuntman and transportation coordinator. He began playing football as a high school freshman after his family moved to Leavenworth, Washington, and he received a partial football scholarship to Shoreline Community College in Seattle. After junior college, he transferred to the University of Washington to study sociology. After college, he played as a defensive end for the Hagerstown Bears, a minor league team in Maryland, for two seasons. He was signed to the Chicago Bears in 1973, and played half a season with the team before being cut. He moved to Newport Beach and was signed to the Southern California Sun of the now-defunct World Football League in 1974. His football career ended in 1976, when the Los Angeles Rams cut him during training camp. Southern California Sun coach Tom Fears, who worked as a technical adviser on football movies, gave Ballew his first break in the movie industry. He also found work through his friend Lorenzo Lamas, and was manager of his GTO class automobile racing team until 1989. He died on October 22, 2023 after a battle with progressive supranuclear palsy.
