Leslie William Nielsen, OC (February 11, 1926 – November 28, 2010) was a Canadian and naturalized American actor and comedian. Nielsen appeared in over one hundred films and 1,500 television programs over the span of his career, portraying over 220 characters. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Nielsen enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and worked as a disc jockey before receiving a scholarship to Neighborhood Playhouse. Making his television debut in 1948, he quickly expanded to over 50 television appearances two years later. Nielsen made his film debut in 1956, and began collecting roles in dramas, westerns, and romance films. Nielsen's performances in the films Forbidden Planet (1956) and The Poseidon Adventure (1972) received positive reviews as a serious actor, though he is primarily known for his comedic roles. Although Nielsen's acting career crossed a variety of genres in both television and films, his deadpan delivery in Airplane! (1980) marked a turning point in his career, one that would make him, in the words of film critic Roger Ebert, "the Olivier of spoofs." Nielsen enjoyed further success with The Naked Gun film series (1988 – 1994), based on a short-lived television series Police Squad! in which he starred earlier. His portrayal of serious characters seemingly oblivious to (and complicit in) their absurd surroundings gave him a reputation as a comedian. In the final years of his career, Nielsen appeared in multiple spoof and parody films, many of which were met poorly by critics, but performed well in box office and home media releases. Nielsen married four times and had two daughters from his second marriage. Christopher Allen Lloyd (born October 22, 1938) is an American actor. He has appeared in many theater productions, films, and on television since the 1960s. He is known for portraying Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy (1985–1990) and Jim Ignatowski in the comedy series Taxi (1978–1983), for which he won two Emmy Awards. Lloyd came to public attention in Northeastern theater productions during the 1960s and early 1970s, earning Drama Desk and Obie awards for his work. He made his cinematic debut in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) and went on to star as Commander Kruge in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984), Professor Plum in Clue (1985), Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), Uncle Fester in The Addams Family (1991) and its sequel Addams Family Values (1993), Switchblade Sam in Dennis the Menace (1993), Mr. Goodman in Piranha 3D (2010), Bill Crowley in I Am Not a Serial Killer (2016) and David Mansell in Nobody (2021). Nick Lassard in two Police Academy films, his motion picture credits have included the Curtis Hanson films The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992) and L.A. Confidential (1997), as well as the action comedy National Security (2003) alongside Martin Lawrence and Steve Zahn. McCoy has also worked regularly on television; his credits include starring in the NBC sitcom We Got It Made, and some guest appearances on Murder, She Wrote, Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Golden Girls, The Nanny, L.A. Antonio Rosato (26 December 1954 – 10 January 2017) was an Italian-Canadian actor and comedian who appeared in television and films. He was best known as a cast member on both SCTV and Saturday Night Live. In fact, Rosato is one of only three actors (along with Robin Duke and Martin Short) to be cast members of both SCTV and SNL and the first not born in either the United States or Canada. Celebrities impersonated by Rosato on SCTV include: Lou Costello (whom he also impersonated when he was a cast member on SNL), William Conrad, Danny Thomas, Woodstock co-organizer Chip Monck, SNL cast member John Belushi, Tony Orlando, Don Ho, and Ella Fitzgerald. His characters on SNL, despite his short tenure, were memorable as well, and included Ed Asner (in character as Lou Grant), Captain Kangaroo, and U.S. Attorney General Ed Meese. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Michael Joseph Anderson, Jr. (born 6 August 1943) is an English actor. He was born in Hillingdon, Middlesex, into a theatrical family. His grandparents and great-great-aunt were acclaimed actors. His father is the film director Michael Anderson, Sr. Anderson trained at the Arts Educational School in drama and ballet. He appeared in seventy-two films between 1956 and 1998, the most notable films include The Sundowners (1960), The Sons of Katie Elder (1965), Major Dundee (also 1965) and in Logan's Run he played the character Doc, opposite of Michael York, Jenny Agutter, Richard Jordan and Farrah Fawcett (1976). In the 1966-1967 season, Anderson co-starred with Barbara Hershey, who portrayed his sister, in an ABC family western series, The Monroes. The programme was about five orphans trying to survive in the Wyoming wilderness. It was partly filmed in and about Grand Teton National Park near Jackson, Wyoming. The Monroes did not last the full season on the air. He also appeared in a 1969 episode of ABC's Love, American Style.
