Julian Sands, a renowned British actor, was born on January 4, 1958, in Otley, West Riding of Yorkshire, England. He had a successful career in film, television, and stage, gaining recognition for his roles in various British films during the 1980s. Sands' breakthrough came with his captivating performance in the movie "A Room with a View" (1985), directed by James Ivory. This period drama not only showcased his acting skills but also earned him widespread acclaim. Following this success, Sands continued to establish himself in the film industry by taking on diverse roles in movies like "The Killing Fields" (1984), "Warlock" (1989), and "Arachnophobia" (1990). Known for his striking presence and ability to portray a wide range of characters, Sands made a lasting impact on both the stage and screen. Scottish born actor Kenneth Cranham is one of the most recognisable character actors in Britain. Having trained at the National Youth Theatre and RADA, Cranham first came to prominence as Noah Claypole in the 1968 Carol Reed musical Oliver! In the late '70s, Cranham memorably played Sapper Salt in Euston Films' Danger UXB, before taking the title role in the popular postwar set period comedy drama Shine on Harvey Moon. His most famous film role from around this time was Dr. Philip Channard in Hellraiser II. In more recent years he has starred in the HBO series Rome, as well as the films Hot Fuzz, Layer Cake, Valkyrie, Made in Dagenham, Maleficent and Film Stars Don't Die In Liverpool. Among many stage credits are West End productions of Entertaining Mr Sloane, Loot, An Inspector Calls (both transferring to Broadway), The Ruffian on the Stair, The Birthday Party and Gaslight (at the Old Vic). For his role as Inspector Goole in An Inspector Calls, he was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award. In 2016, Cranham won the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Play for his role as Andre in Florian Zeller's The Father. The play originated at the Theatre Royal Bath's Ustinov Studio in the Autumn of 2014, before touring the country and transferring to the West End in the Summer of 2015, and returning to the Duke of York's Theatre in Spring 2016. The play received an unprecedented five star review from every leading national press publication, and Cranham's performance was described as "the performance of his life" His first wife was actress Diana Quick. He has two daughters: Nancy Cranham with actress Charlotte Cornwell, and Kathleen Cranham with his second wife, actress Fiona Victory, whom he met on the set of Shine on Harvey Moon.
Suzanna Hamilton (born 8 February 1960) is an English actress. She is known for her performance as Julia in the 1984 film adaptation of George Orwell's classic novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four. Her other film roles include Tess (1979), Brimstone and Treacle(1982), Wetherby (1985) and Out of Africa (1985). On television, she starred in the ITV drama Wish Me Luck (1988), the BBCmedical drama Casualty (1993–94) and the STV drama McCallum (1995–97).
Mark was born in Horne, Surrey to farmer and amateur entertainer Bernard Kempner, and former land-girl Mary Kempner. He went to Michael Hall school, and excelled in particular, in the many drama classes. Mark worked on the family farm until meeting wife Anna at 18. They married in 1982. They have two children, both of whom are also professional actors. Soon after leaving school, Mark worked on a Kibbutz in Israel for a year and in that time, started up a touring comedy drama group. The group toured other Kibbutz's performing comedy sketches.
