Emma is an attractive girl in her 20s who has been blind for 20 years. A new type of eye operation partially restores her sight, but she is having problems: sometimes she doesn't "remember" what she's seen until later. One night she is awakened by a commotion upstairs. Peering out of her door, she sees a shadowy figure descending the stairs. Convinced that her neighbour has been murdered she approaches the police, only to find that she is unsure if it was just her new eyes playing tricks on her.

She went on to star in the films Revenge (1990), Unlawful Entry (1992), The Last of the Mohicans (1992), Blink (1993), 12 Monkeys (1995), The General's Daughter (1999), and We Were Soldiers (2002). Bruce A. Young (born April 22, 1956) is an American television and film actor who is perhaps best known for his role as Capt. Simon Banks in the UPN sci-fi police drama The Sentinel. He also played mercenary M.B. Nash in Jurassic Park III. In addition, he played the character of Moselle, a pool player who loses to Vince (played by Tom Cruise), in The Color of Money. His other film and television credits include Basic Instinct, Into Temptation, E/R, Highlander: The Series, Quantum Leap, NYPD Blue, Undisputed, Cold Case, Ghost Whisperer, Risky Business, Grey's Anatomy and Prison Break. Another notable role Young played was a self-defense instructor in the movie "Enough".

Peter Friedman (born April 24, 1949) is an American stage, screen, and television actor. Born in New York City, Friedman graduated from Hofstra University before making his Broadway debut in The Great God Brown in 1972. Additional theatre credits include The Visit (1973), Piaf and A Soldier's Play (both 1981), The Heidi Chronicles (1989), Ragtime (1998), and Twelve Angry Men (2004). He has been nominated for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Musical, Outstanding Actor in a Play, and Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play. On television, Friedman starred as patriarch George Silver in Brooklyn Bridge, has made numerous guest appearances in such series as Miami Vice, Law & Order, NYPD Blue, Without a Trace, Ghost Whisperer, and Damages, and had a featured role in Perfect Murder, Perfect Town: JonBenét and the City of Boulder. Friedman's many feature film credits include Prince of the City, Daniel, The Seventh Sign, Single White Female, I'm Not Rappaport, I Shot Andy Warhol, Safe, Freedomland, The Savages, and I'm Not There. Laura Elizabeth Metcalf (born June 16, 1955) is an American actress and comedian. Often described as a character actor, she is known for her complex and versatile roles across the stage and screen. She has received various accolades throughout her career spanning over four decades, including two Tony Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to nominations for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and three Golden Globe Awards.
Metcalf began her career with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company and frequently works in Chicago theatre. She made her Broadway debut in the 1985 play My Thing of Love. She went on to receive six Tony Award nominations, winning Best Actress in a Play in 2017 for her performance in A Doll's House, Part 2 and Best Featured Actress in a Play for the 2018 revival of Edward Albee's Three Tall Women. Her other Tony-nominated roles were for November (2008), The Other Place (2010), Misery (2016), and Hillary and Clinton (2019).
