Dr Mark Sloan cannot believe that his former student Dr Drummond, an ambitious cosmetic surgeon, has committed suicide. Assisted by his team of hobby detectives, pathologist Amanda Bentley and junior doctor Jack Parker, Sloan tries to investigate the case. He finds out that Drummond and his senior partner, Dr Stern, had used plastic surgery to create a double of rich banker and benefactor Gantry, who is expected to make a major donation to the community hospital. Does Gantry also plan to have his double assassinated in order to vanish with the money himself?

Dick Van Dyke
Richard Wayne Van Dyke (born December 13, 1925) is an American actor, entertainer, and comedian. His award-winning career has spanned seven decades in film, television, and stage. Van Dyke is the recipient of multiple awards, including a Golden Globe, Tony, Grammy, a Daytime Emmy, and four Primetime Emmys. He was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1995 and the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012. He was honored with the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award in 2013, the Kennedy Center Honors in 2021 and was recognized as a Disney Legend.
Van Dyke began his career as an entertainer on radio and television, in nightclubs, and on the Broadway stage. In 1961, he starred in the original production of Bye Bye Birdie, a role which earned him the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. Carl Reiner then cast him as Rob Petrie on the CBS television sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show from 1961 to 1966, which made him a household name. He went on to star in the movie musicals Bye Bye Birdie (1963), Mary Poppins (1964), and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968), and in the comedy-drama The Comic (1969).
Van Dyke also made guest appearances on television programs Columbo (1974) and The Carol Burnett Show (1977), and starred in The New Dick Van Dyke Show (1971–74), Diagnosis: Murder (1993–2001), and Murder 101 (2006–08). Van Dyke has also made appearances in the films Dick Tracy (1990), Curious George (2006), Night at the Museum (2006), Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014), and Mary Poppins Returns (2018).

Cynthia Gibb (born December 14, 1963 in Bennington, Vermont, U.S.) is an American actress and former model who has starred in film and on television.
Gibb grew up in Westport, Connecticut and got her big break at the age of 14 when she was discovered by the Eileen Ford Agency in New York City. She was on the cover of Vogue and Young Miss. Fate then intervened, as director Woody Allen saw her in one of those magazines and gave her her first film role in his 1980 movie Stardust Memories. In the 1986 war film, Salvador, directed by Oliver Stone and starring James Woods, she portrayed an American nun in El Salvador who was raped and murdered.
Gibb's best known TV role was on the soap opera Search for Tomorrow as Susan "Suzi" Martin Wyatt Carter from 1981-1983. She was also a regular for three seasons on the original Fame TV show and appeared in the first three Diagnosis: Murder movies in 1992 as Dr. Amanda Bentley.
In the TV adaptation of Gypsy she starred as the adult Rose Louise/Gypsy Rose Lee, opposite Bette Midler as Mama Rose. She later starred in the 1995 short lived TV series Deadly Games. She has also played in many TV movies, including the role of Karen Carpenter in The Karen Carpenter Story (1989).

Stephen Caffrey has been a stage actor in New York, Los Angeles and across the country for over 30 years. On Film and Television he starred in and directed the series "Tour of Duty" for over 3 seasons on CBS. He received an Emmy nomination for his year on "All my Children" and has had leading roles in many TV movies and mini-series, including Sundance Film Festival winner "Longtime Companion". Mary Loretta "Mariette" Hartley (born June 21, 1940) is an American actress. She is best known for work with Bill Bixby on The Incredible Hulk (1978) and Goodnight, Beantown (1983–1984), an original Star Trek episode (1969), Sam Peckinpah's Ride the High Country (1962) with Randolph Scott and Joel McCrea, and a series of commercials with James Garner in the 1970s and 1980s.

Peter Thomas Scolari (September 12, 1955 – October 22, 2021) was an American actor. He is best known for his roles as Michael Harris on Newhart (1984–1990) and Henry Desmond in Bosom Buddies (1980–1982). Scolari received three Emmy nominations for his work on Newhart and won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his recurring role as Tad Horvath on Girls in 2016.

David Hattersley Warner (29 July 1941 - 24 July 2022) was an English actor. Born on 29th July 1941 in Manchester, he attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and worked in the theatre before attaining prominence on screen in the early 1960s through his lead performance in the Karel Reisz film Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment, for which he was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
Warner portrayed both romantic leads and villainous characters across a range of media, including The Ballad of Cable Hogue, Straw Dogs, Cross of Iron, The Omen, Holocaust, The Thirty Nine Steps, Time After Time, Time Bandits, Tron, A Christmas Carol, Portrait in Evil, Titanic, Mary Poppins Returns and various characters in the Star Trek franchise, in the films Star Trek V: The Final Frontier and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation.
In 1981, he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Special for his portrayal of Pomponius Falco in the television miniseries Masada.
He died on 24th July 2022, aged 80.

George Stevens Hamilton is an American film and television actor. He began his film career in 1958 and although he has a substantial body of work in film and television he is, perhaps, most famous for his debonair style and his perpetual suntan. Bo Derek writes in her autobiography that "there was an ongoing contest between John [Derek] and George Hamilton as to who was tanner".
