From the start of his acting career in the 1950s, Nussbaum appeared in many of David Mamet's plays both on and off Broadway, as well as in Chicago. His appearances in movies include roles in Field of Dreams (1989) and Men In Black (1997). In 1997 he received a Jeff Award for his performance as Reverend Lionel Espy in David Hare's Racing Demon. His performance in Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross on Broadway received a Drama Desk Award in 1984. As a director, his work has included Where Have You Gone, Jimmy Stewart? (2002) by Art Shay. Nussbaum also appeared in local TV commercials for Chicago's Northwest Federal Savings (with the jingle, "It's Northwest Federal Savings Time, sixty-three hours a week"). Joanna Pacula (born January 2, 1957) is a Polish actress. Pacula joined Warsaw Dramatic Theatre where she acted until 1981. She started her career playing in productions of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Othello and As You Like It. She also found work in a handful of films, including Krzysztof Zanussi's Barwy ochronne/Camouflage (1977). In 1981, Pacula was caught in Paris when communist authorities in Poland declared martial law. In 1982 she eventually emigrated to the U.S. where she has specialized in playing European temptresses since her feature debut opposite William Hurt in Gorky Park (1983). She played the part of the exotic beauty in numerous American TV series and movies, including the Holocaust drama Escape From Sobibor (CBS, 1987), The Kiss (1988), E.A.R.T.H. Force (CBS, 1990), and the TV series, The Colony (ABC, 1996). Anne Haney (born Anne Ryan Thomas; March 4, 1934 – May 26, 2001) was an American actress of stage and screen, perhaps best known for her roles as social worker Mrs. Sellner in Mrs. Doubtfire and Greta the secretary in Liar Liar. Haney appeared in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Survivors" as Rishon Uxbridge, and later appeared as aBajoran arbitrator in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Dax". She was a regular guest-star during the syndicated run ofMama's Family, playing Alberta Meechum, the nemesis of Thelma Harper. On Our House she played fussy neighbor Virginia Taft. She was also a regular guest-star of L.A. Law, playing Judge Marilyn Travelini. She guest starred on Cheers, Designing Women, The Golden Palace, Charmed, Boy Meets World,Columbo, ER, and Curb Your Enthusiasm as the mother of Mary Steenburgen's character. One of her last appearances was in the Ally McBeal season 4 episode "Reasons to Believe" (which aired on January 8, 2001). On May 26, 2001, Haney died of heart failure at age 67.
Scott was born in Los Angeles and spent a lot of his childhood with his parents on picket lines campaigning for local civil rights. His father was the executive director of the University of Southern California,Community Services Center, and his mother worked for Operation Breadbasket and other organizations dedicated to improving economic conditions of black communities. After studying electrical engineering for two years at USC, he sat in on a friends acting class, was immediately bitten by the bug and auditioned for USC's Bachelor of Fine Arts acting conservatory the next semester. He started over as a freshman and completed the program in 1986. In 1987, Scott earned his SAG card on the feature film "Punchline". After several equity waiver plays and TV guest stars, Scott landed his first TV series regular role as Whoopi Goldberg's son on the short lived "Bagdad Cafe". The show ended in 1990 and after a few more years in Hollywood, Scott decided to pack up and move to New York to pursue his first love, the theatre. In NYC he worked in off and off-off Broadway shows and was invited into the elite Drama Department Theatre Company for which he performed Tennesee Williams' three character play, "Kingdom of Earth" with Cynthia Nixon and Peter Sarsgaard, directed by John Cameron Mitchell. Scott's proudest theater moment came when he was cast by Lloyd Richards to play Walter Lee in Lorraine Hansberry's, "A Raisin in the Sun". Lloyd fell sick but the production went on to rave reviews at Fords Theater in Washington DC, directed by Seret Scott in 1995. Scott stayed in New york for a few more years working in TV, film and theatre before returning to Los Angeles in 1998. In 1999, he was cast in a guest starring role on the pilot for the CBS drama, "First Monday". Producer/creator/ director, Don Bellasario admired his work enough to create the role of 'Cmdr. Sturgis Turner' for Scott on his long running, hit series "JAG". Scott played the role from 2000 to 2004, when the show was canceled. He continues to live and work in Hollywood, recent notable credits include "The Social Network" and James Cameron's "Avatar". Upcoming credits Include J.J.
