Michael Keaton
Michael John Douglas (born September 5, 1951), known professionally as Michael Keaton, is an American actor. He has received numerous accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globe Awards, in addition to nominations for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award. In 2016, he was named Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters in France.
Keaton gained early recognition for his comedic roles in Night Shift (1982), Mr. Mom (1983), and Beetlejuice (1988). He gained wider stardom portraying the title superhero in Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992). He took roles in Clean and Sober (1988), Much Ado About Nothing (1993), The Paper (1994), Multiplicity (1996), Jackie Brown (1997), Jack Frost (1998), Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005), and The Other Guys (2010). He also performed voice roles in the animated films Cars (2006), Toy Story 3 (2010), and Minions (2015).
Keaton experienced a career resurgence after taking a starring role as a faded actor attempting a comeback in Alejandro González Iñárritu's Birdman (2014), for which he won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor and a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor. He has since acted in biographical dramas such as Spotlight (2015), The Founder (2016), The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020), and Worth (2021). He portrayed the Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), while also reprising his roles as Batman in The Flash (2023) and the title role in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024).
Keaton starred as a journalist in the HBO film Live from Baghdad (2002). Michael Gerard Hagerty (May 10, 1954 – May 5, 2022) was an American actor. He was known for playing comedic blue-collar workers, including his recurring roles as Mr. Treeger, the building superintendent, on Friends and the manager of a muffler shop on HBO's Lucky Louie.
Hagerty started acting after being invited by Jim Belushi to join the improv group The Second City. He went on to co-write and co-star in three revues on the troupe's mainstage during the 1980s (Also Available in Paperback — A Retrospective, Orwell That Ends Well, and True Midwest, or No, But I Saw the Movie). He also introduced the lyrics of "Bear Down, Chicago Bears" to its cast and had them memorize and sing the song. He subsequently began acting in films and television shows, beginning with Doctor Detroit in 1983. Hagerty became known for his mustache and thick Chicago accent.
Although the majority of his career was spent in television, Hagerty had small roles in many films, and ultimately garnered over 100 acting credits throughout his career. Thomas A. Carlin (1928 - 1991) was an American stage, television and film actor during the mid twentieth century. Carlin was married to the film and television actress Frances Sternhagen and had six children.
During the 1950s and 60s, Mr. Carlin appeared in a number of Broadway plays, including "Time Limit", "A Thousand Clowns" and "The Deputy".
In the 1960s and 70s, Mr. Carlin taught and directed at Pace University in Pleasantville, New York and at Rye High School.
Carlin's film credits include Ragtime, Caddyshack, and The Pope of Greenwich Village.
He died at his home in the Sutton Manor section of New Rochelle, New York in 1991 at the age of 62.
