Forest Steven Whitaker (born July 15, 1961) is an American actor, producer, director, and activist. He is the recipient of various accolades, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a British Academy Film Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
After making his film debut in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982), Whitaker went on to earn a reputation for intensive character study work for films, such as Platoon (1986), Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), Bird (1988), The Crying Game (1992), Phenomenon (1996), Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999), The Great Debaters (2007), The Butler (2013), Arrival (2016), and Respect (2021). He has also appeared in blockbusters, such as Panic Room (2002), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) as Saw Gerrera, and Black Panther (2018) as Zuri. For his portrayal of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in the British historical drama film The Last King of Scotland (2006), Whitaker won the Academy Award for Best Actor. Belushi was born in Chicago to Adam Anastos Belushi, an Albanian from Qytezë, Korçë, and Agnes Demetri (Samaras) Belushi, who was born in Ohio from Greek-Albanian immigrants from Korçë. He was raised in Wheaton, a Chicago suburb, along with his three siblings: Older brother John, older sister Marian, and younger brother Billy. Crawford received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University and has served at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts teaching directing for their School of Filmmaking .
The Variety Movie Guide called his portrayal of the title character in the film Jake Speed "well played" and stated he delivered his lines "as an old-fashioned paperback hero would - in cliches". He directed and starred in Crime Lords, which was called "predictable" by DVD & video guide 2005 while the Variety TV Review called it unpretentious and entertaining.
He co-wrote and co-produced the film Valley Girl with Andrew Lane He fought against the studio to ensure that Martha Coolidge was maintained as the director.

Brenda Currin is an OBIE Award winning actress. Brenda's career began as Nancy Clutter in In Cold Blood. She went on to play Pooh Percy in The World According To Garp with Robin Williams, and appeared in Taps, Reds, and the cult classic C.H.U.D., among others. Brenda worked in the New York theater scene, on and Off Broadway for much of her adult life. She is acclaimed for her two one-person shows based on Eudora Welty's work, Sister and Miss Lexie and A Fire Was In My Head. eudoraweltyonstage.co . In 1990 Brenda left the theater to get a Master's degree in anthropology and then co-founded What Girls Know, a theater program for the healthy development of adolescent girls, which she directed in NYC and other parts of the country for the next 15 years. Since returning to acting, she has worked continually in New York, with concentration on the works of Tennessee Williams, Jane Bowles, Harper Lee, Horton Foote, and a new play, Mr. Toole (Vivian Neuwirth) as Thelma Toole. Brenda's recent film/TV work includes Gossamer Folds, Out Of Blue and Claws. She now resides in New Orleans.
