An elite group of vice cops are fired from the L.A.P.D. for being over-zealous in their war against drugs. It is immediately apparent that some of their superiors are involved in the drug ring. Banded together, four of the banned cops (which quickly becomes three when one is killed early) band together to fight the drug ring undercover. They gain capital for weapons by ripping off minor drug dealers. Then well-armed they go after the kingpin (Boyd).

Joseph Peter Pantoliano is an American actor who has played over 150 roles across film, television, and theater. He is best known for portraying Ralph "Ralphie" Cifaretto on the HBO crime drama The Sopranos (1999–2007), for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, and Cypher in the sci-fi action film The Matrix (1999).
After early roles in the television series M* A * S * H and the comedy film Risky Business, Pantoliano gained recognition for numerous supporting roles in films and television shows such as Hill Street Blues, The Goonies, La Bamba, Empire of the Sun, Midnight Run, NYPD Blue, Memento, and Bad Boys and its sequels. He also appeared in The Fugitive and its spin-off U.S. Marshals. He began working with the Wachowskis in their directorial debut Bound, and later appeared in their film The Matrix and their sci-fi series Sense8.

Henry Darrow is a Nuyorican (a New York-born Puerto Rican) character actor of stage and film known for his role as Manolito "Mano" Montoya on the 1960s television series, The High Chaparral. In film, Darrow played the corrupt and vengeful Trooper Hancock in The Hitcher.
Darrow had already landed small parts in 12 movies and 75 television series when he won the role in a play titled The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit. This brought him to the attention of television producer David Dortort, who immediately recruited him for his television western series The High Chaparral, casting him as Manolito Montoya. Making its debut on American television in September 1967, it went on to last four seasons and was screened around the world. While on the show, both he and series' lead, Cameron Mitchell, became household names as the breakout stars of the show.
Darrow is the first Latino actor to portray Zorro on television. He starred in the series Zorro and Son and also has provided the voice for the animated series of The New Adventures of Zorro. He replaced Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. as Zorro's father from 1990–1994, in the Family Channel's successful series, The New Zorro.
During the 1970s and 1980s, he was seen in numerous guest starring television roles. In 1972, Darrow co-founded the Screen Actors Guild Ethnic Minority Committee with actors Ricardo Montalbán, Edith Diaz and Carmen Zapata.
In 1974-75, Darrow portrayed police detective Manny Quinlan in the first season of Harry O, starring David Janssen. The character was killed off at the end of the first season in a re-tooling of the series.
In 1986, he appeared in the horror film The Hitcher as Trooper Hancock, a ruthless and vengeful policeman who would go above the law to kill the main protagonist (who was framed for the crimes by the main antagonist).
Darrow replaced Efrem Zimbalist Jr. as Zorro's father Don Alejandro de la Vega in the 1990s television series Zorro.
J. Kenneth Campbell's acting career has taken him from Broadway to feature films and television. His many films include Bulworth, Ulee's Gold, Guess Who?, Mars Attacks and The Abyss. He recently completed filming director Kevin Willmott's upcoming feature The Only Good Indian, in which Campbell plays a lead role, alongside Wes Studi (Avatar, Last of the Mohicans). Non-academic acting students in 1967 became automatically eligible for the Selective Service and in the middle of his second year at the Playhouse, Campbell was drafted into the U.S. Army. He retaliated, by joining the Marines. He was wounded in action, and after months of recuperation, he returned to The Playhouse and finished the program. Campbell has worked, on stage, in film and on television ever since.

Persky was born in New York City, New York, the daughter of Jane Holley (née Wilson) and Mort Persky. She grew up in New York's Greenwich Village and attended the High School of Art and Design.
She debuted as Robert Duvall's daughter in The Great Santini and went on to act in such movies as American Pop, The Big Easy, When Harry Met Sally..., Coneheads, KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park, and Peggy Sue Got Married.
She wrote for New York Rocker magazine in the 1970s and dated former Blondie bass player Gary Valentine Lachman. On January 19, 2008, she married music historian and former co-star of the Comedy Central game show Beat the Geeks Andy Zax.
