Two Northern Cheyenne men take a road trip from Montana to New Mexico to bail out the sister of one of them who has been framed and arrested in Santa Fe. On the way, they begin to reconnect to their spiritual heritage.

Adolfo Martinez (born September 27, 1948) is an American actor and singer with roles in the daytime soap opera Santa Barbara and the primetime dramas L.A. Law and Profiler.
Gary Dale Farmer (born June 12, 1953) is a versatile and esteemed Canadian actor known for his compelling performances on screen. Born in Ohsweken, Ontario, Farmer has made significant contributions to film and television. He was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for his memorable performance as Nobody in the Jim Jarmusch independent western Dead Man (1995), in which he starred opposite Johnny Depp, and again for his role in Smoke Signals (1998). Gary reprised his role as Nobody for Jim Jarmusch again in "Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999), and Frank Oz cast him alongside Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro in The Score (2001). Soteron "Sam" Vlahos was born in San Diego, California, on August 10, 1935, to Theodore Vlahos of Kakouri, Greece, and Juanita Romero of Baja, Mexico. After serving in the U.S. Air Force in the 1950s, he pursued his acting career.
John Trudell was an American Indian author, poet, actor, musician, and political activist. He was the spokesperson for the United Indians of All Tribes' takeover of Alcatraz beginning in 1969, broadcasting as Radio Free Alcatraz. During most of the 1970s, he served as the chairman of the American Indian Movement, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
After his pregnant wife, three children and mother-in-law were killed in 1979 in a fire at the home of his parents-in-law on the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes Duck Valley Indian Reservation in Nevada, Trudell turned to writing, music and film as a second career. Rodney Arnold Grant (born March 9, 1959) is an American actor.
Grant, a Native American, was raised on the Omaha Reservation in Macy, Nebraska. He is probably most well known for his role as "Wind In His Hair" in the 1990 film Dances with Wolves. He has also appeared in other films such as John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars, Wild Wild West, Geronimo: An American Legend, White Wolves III: Cry of the White Wolf, Wagons East!, The Substitute, War Party, and Powwow Highway. In television, he played the part of "Chingachgook" in the series Hawkeye that aired in 1994-1995. He has also had guest roles in a television series such as Due South, Two, and the Stargate SG-1 episode "Spirits". He also portrayed the famous warrior Crazy Horse in the 1991 television movie Son of the Morning Star.
Grant is a member of the Omaha tribe of Nebraska. He has been very active in youth activities and had served on the Native American Advisory Board for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He has five grown children, three from a previous marriage, and two from previous relationships. He currently resides in southern California.
