David Edwin Birney (April 23, 1939 – April 29, 2022) was an American actor and director whose career included performances in both contemporary and classical roles in theatre, film, and television. He was noted for his role in Bridget Loves Bernie, portraying an interfaith marriage with Meredith Baxter, who he married after the series ended.

Francine Joy Drescher (born September 30, 1957) is an American actress, comedian, writer, activist, and trade union leader. Drescher is known for her role as Fran Fine in the television sitcom The Nanny (1993–1999).
Drescher made her screen debut with a small role in the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever, and later appeared in American Hot Wax (1978) and Wes Craven's horror tale Stranger in Our House (1978). In the 1980s, she gained recognition as a comedic actress in the films Gorp (1980), The Hollywood Knights (1980), Doctor Detroit (1983), This Is Spinal Tap (1984), and UHF (1989) while establishing a television career with guest appearances on several series. In 1993, she achieved wider fame as Fran Fine in her own sitcom vehicle The Nanny, for which she was nominated for two Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Television Series during the show's run. In the 2000s, Drescher reinforced her position as a leading sitcom star with Living with Fran and Happily Divorced. Since 2012, she has starred in the animated Hotel Transylvania film series.

A producer, actor, and screenwriter whose credits ranged from a bit role in The Naked Gun 33 1/3 to stage producer for Mel Brooks' production of The Producers, multi-faceted show business man Matt Roe had his irons in multiple fires -- and all to great effect. A Brooklyn native, he founded the Denver-based production house Clear Concepts, a company which eventually settled in Mexico, where Roe tried his hand at directing, as well. Though he eventually sold Clear Concepts and moved to Los Angeles to do commercial work, the company continued to flourish while its founder embarked on a series of supporting feature roles. From the late '80s to the early 2000s, Roe's work in such features as The Puppet Master (1989), Child's Play 2 (1990), Improper Conduct (1994), and Black Scorpion (1995) added an extra dimension to otherwise run-of-the-mill supporting roles. Behind the camera, he wrote the screenplays for Tainted Love (1996), Irresistible Impulse (1996), and The Minion (1998). Matt Roe died of multiple myeloma October 9, 2003, in Los Angeles.
