Tall, gaunt, rawboned character actor with deep voice, reminiscent of John Carradine. Formal education at Morris Harvey College in Charleston, West Virginia and as Theater Arts major at UCLA. Professional training at American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, and at Max Reinhardt Workshop in Los Angeles. Before attacking Hollywood, he spent several years working in regional theaters from one end of the US to the other, and had built an impressive resume of glowing reviews of his performances in such roles as "Cyrano de Bergerac", "Abe Lincoln in Illinois", "Sir Thomas More" in "A Man For All Seasons", "Henry Drummond" in "Inherit The Wind", "Richard III" and the like, but he was never offered such lofty challenges in films or television. Still, he didn't languish, but instead relished every chance he was given to play for the camera, whether in a quality major studio production or the cheesiest of no-budget fly-by-night productions. When he wasn't acting, he uncovered his typewriter and cranked out teleplays and movie scripts. Perhaps his best-remembered television script was his first, a lighthearted comedy episode of the Bonanza (1959) series, titled Bonanza: Hoss and the Leprechauns (1963). As a writer, he drifted into adapting English-dubbing scripts of foreign films. American producers began buying successful Japanese animated series and dubbing them into English, and Barron was a pioneer in that industry, which grew rapidly and enormously. He became executive director and story editor for "Saban Productions", which in the course of five years became one of the largest producers of children's programming in the world, with such shows as X-Men: The Animated Series (1992) and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993).

Paul Linke (born May 6, 1948) is an American actor, known for his role as Officer Artie Grossman in CHiPs, a television series about the motorcycle officers of the California Highway Patrol. Linke has worked in film and extensively in television, mostly portraying mild-mannered everyman roles. Linke was born in New York, New York, the son of Richard O. Linke, a personal manager, producer, and partner of Andy Griffith. During the timeframe of his character on the television series CHiPs, Linke played a similar role as Sheriff Bruce Smith in the cult classic, slasher film parody Motel Hell (1980). He also appeared in the film Parenthood (1989). His career has included appearances on many well known television series such as, The Waltons, Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, M*A*S*H, Knots Landing, St. Elsewhere, Quantum Leap and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. He appeared in a 1985 episode of Three's a Crowd, a short-lived television sitcom spinoff of Three's Company starring John Ritter. Linke later spoke at Ritter's memorial service. In 2000 Linke co-wrote and directed the acclaimed stage play "Save it for the Stage: The Life of Reilly" with actor Charles Nelson Reilly, which was later made into the 2006 film "The Life of Reilly". Linke met his first wife, Francesca "Chex" Draper, a musician and composer, at a party in Los Angeles in 1976. They married in 1978 and had three children together, Jasper, Ryan and Rose. When his wife died of cancer in 1986, Linke channeled his grief into writing and performing a play called Time Flies When You're Alive. First presented as a one-man show in Los Angeles and HBO drama, the work was then developed into the book Time Flies When You're Alive: A Real-Life Love Story. The very emotional work has garnered critical acclaim. Linke later remarried Christine Healy in 1991. They have one child together, a daughter named Lily. Shayne has written movies for IMAGINE, SHOWTIME and DISNEY and directed for PARAMOUNT, NICKELODEON and WARNER BROS. Recently. Shayne wrote & directed a documentary about a Thai transwoman billionaire. American/Canadian, dual citizen, Linda Shayne created a dramedy TV series for QUINCY JONES and QDE, two animated TV series for WARNER BROS. and in 2022 Shayne created a dramedy TV series to film in Asia. Shayne is an award-winning writer director. Shayne won a Best Feature Screenplay award for her newest crime thriller at the FLORENCE FILM AWARDS in 2022, and she won Best Thriller award at HRIFF 2022, a Best Director award at the FREEDOM FESTIVAL in 2019 as well as a Top 10 Feature Screenplay Finalist at CINEQUEST 2020. Shayne developed a dramatic film for MUSE ENT. of Montreal and X-FILME of Germany and she wrote a romantic comedy for PATRIOT ENTERTAINMENT of Los Angeles. Shayne first directed a film starring Ned Beatty, Neil Patrick Harris, Thora Birch and Shelley Winters. PURPLE PEOPLE EATER garnered actress Thora Birch a Youth in Film Award. Shayne also directed UNDERCOVER KID release by WARNER BROS. and aired on HBO Family and she directed LITTLE GHOST for KUSHNER-LOCKE, released by PARAMOUNT. Shayne won a TELLY AWARD for her writing on the HARD HAT HARRY kids’ series and she recently wrote a children’s book that was illustrated by Emmy Award winning animator, Art Leonardi. Shayne wrote the English translation of Dord Krstic’s non-fiction book: “Mileva and Albert Einstein: Their Love and Scientific Collaboration” sold at the Einstein Museum House in Switzerland.
